As we come into warmer weather I thought it would be fun to do a Sweet Tea or Iced Tea Swap (Not sure if there is a difference between the two, be sure to let me know if there is)

For this swap send your partner enough tea bags (or loose leaf tea if your partner accepts) to make a jug of sweet tea. Include directions/the recipe to create your favorite sweet tea

There is a difference! "Sweet Tea" is tea that is brewed hot and has the sugar (usually a LOT of sugar) added in while the liquid is still hot so that the sugar dissolves into the tea, then it is cooled. Iced Tea is unsweetened and can be brewed with hot water or as "Sun Tea" and is left unsweetned and then the individual can chose to sweeten or not to taste.

In Canada Iced Tea is sweetened which is why I was confused! Now I remember from my trip to California! If you are ever up here in Canada it will come sweetened!

Thanks, that's good to know! Most tea in the Southeast US is Sweet Tea here and it has spread in recent years. I used to like some sweetner in my tea, but not a lot. And now I drink it with lemon and no sugar, but the pre-sweetened stuff seems as sweet as a coke to me when I've tried it.

I would like UNsweetened tea! I used to drink it sweet, but now I can't handle it sweet. Black tea is the best for making a glass of iced tea!!! Oh, and I am from the south!!
