Welcome Houston & surrounding areas group!!! Yall merged with this group.
To get our little group of Texans started swapping, we will each create one ATC (that is a card measuring 2.5" x 3.5") that illustrates somethingYOU think of as uniquely Texas. This can be something from your region, from Texas history, from anything that you think epitomizes the state of Texas.
IF YOU ARE NOT FAMILIAR WITH ATCs (Artist Trading Cards), simply Google the term or go to Pinterest and do a search for ATCs or Artist Trading Cards. You will find TONS of examples. You may also check out my Flickr site (see my profile) for examples I have made. PM me or email if you have any questions!
You will have ONE partner and must sign up for this swap by Sept. 11 and have your ATC mailed by Sept. 25. The colors, topic, design, etc. of the ATC is your choice, but courtesy would suggest checking your partner's profile to avoid a color or topic that they are sensitive about.
BE CREATIVE! Please do not put a few Texas souvenir stickers on an ATC size card and consider that as meeting criteria for this swap! Sticker slapping is off limits in this group. Quality artistic work is clean, neat, without glue showing, no smudged stampings, etc. Send your partner something you would be proud to show to a genuine Texas artist! We all are at varied stages in our skills; I'm just asking that you put those skills to hard work in making your ATC.
If you receive an ATC that is merely a few stickers slapped on an ATC size card, that does not met swap requirements. Please contact me if that happens, but I know some of you and am trusting the rest to establish solid quality standards to keep our group successful and fun! Knock the socks off your partner with this ATC!
