Description:

Easy as pie: for this swap, you will send an envie to your swap partner featuring mail art about/with your favorite animal (or one of your favorites, if you have many :).

THE TWIST:

You CANNOT choose a domesticated animal - meaning, no dogs, cats, farm animals etc. You can choose any kind of wildlife, exotic animals and so on. However, please stay away from anything that's likely to trigger your swap partner's arachnaphobia (fear of spiders) etc. In other words, let's keep it on the right side of cute/fun, rather than creepy/gross.

Envies must be at least 6x9 for stateside partners, 5x7 or legal size for international partners; can be hand-made or store-bought but must be sturdy (no sending a magazine page folded in half!) and can feature any of the following mediums or combination thereof:

  • paints
  • gesso
  • washi/deco tape
  • stamped images
  • zentangle
  • painting/drawing/sketching
  • decoupage/collage

You may use stickers - as Tim Gunn would say - "thoughtfully"; in other words, no sticker slapping, no garish reward stickers etc. If you're going to use stickers, keep them to a minimum and use only beautiful and/or cute quality stickers.

Inside the envie, include 3 or more flat items of choice - this does not have to relate to the swap theme and can be anything ranging from vintage ephemera to hand-made notecards. Also include a personal note to your partner, explaining your choice of animal and what you know/like about it.

As always, general group/swap rules apply, which can be found on the forum; feel free to PM me with any questions/concerns.
