Description:

Since Winter is here (not so much in Houston but...) lets use blue buttons, any variation. I know it's a super busy time of year but I still thought I'd put this out there & making it a fairly quick turnaround. If there is continuing interest, I will host a series of color & holiday flowers. Although the swap is named "Dictionary Flower Buttons", you can punch or die cut ANY sturdy cardstock, printed paper, book pages, whatever, except newspaper (due to archival quality) or use store bought flowers. Challenge but not required: perhaps somehow incorporating Winter print or snowflakes into the flower??

Make sure the flowers are at least one inch but no bigger then 2.5 inches & lets use a couple of layers please. If you use 1" small flowers, make 8, otherwise lets go with 6. No more than 2 buttons can have the same paper. Please cut the shanks off the buttons, if possible, in order for them to lay flat against the flowers. The buttons can be glued or sewn onto the flowers. The completed flowers should be put on used acetate, a transparency sheet or sturdy cardstock with small glue dots or whatever medium you feel will work in order to ship.

Remember we are the queens of craft & know these should be made using quality materials and be sturdy!!!!!

Check out the video. For shipping purposes I'd skip the "poofing" & leave that to the recipient.

So does this mean that you could only do two flowers with book pages and then two with printed paper and two with something else? Cause I sort of really like the printed page ones and wouldn't mind getting 6 that were all printed page as long as the buttons were different colors or sizes of blue.

I meant different shades of blue.

AynE, sorry for getting back to you so late... Yes, you can use printed pages for all of them but maybe try a different flower pattern, or tinting the pages a different color. I like to use distress crackle sometimes for a different look. Hope this makes sense. Go wild girl! Lol!
