Summertime means picnics outdoors! What better way to make a picnic (or any other meal) a little more special (and earth friendly) than to use cloth napkins? I've been making a few cloth napkins for myself, and it occurred to me that a handmade cloth napkin swap would be fun!

For this swap, you will make 1 partner a set of 4 cloth napkins. Please make the napkins yourself. Sewing napkins is easy, and there are lots of patterns and instructions available online. Some examples include:

These are just examples, and there are more out there if you look. Feel free to make your napkins any way you like. Be creative, but also please be considerate of your partner's profile: if their profile says they hate lime green, don't send lime green napkins.

This swap is international. This swap is for people with a 4.5 rating or higher, although I reserve the right to review profiles and ratings and remove participants who appear questionable. If you have any no-sends, you may not participate. Newbies are welcome with a completed profile.

Hi everyone! I hope you are having fun making your napkins! I wanted to let you know that I created a flickr group for handmade kitchen items, and I'd love it if you shared photos of your napkins there! You can see it here.

I used the Bend the Rules Sewing directions--they came out so cute! I'll post pictures once I know my partner got them...don't want to ruin a surprise!
