Crazy Fun 9-Patch

I am taking over this swap (for a while anyway) because the previous hostess, @ABackwoodsLife has been partially suspended, has not logged into SB for a long time, and I want to see this swap continue.

In this swap we are going to make scrappy 9-patch blocks. The block is super fun and modern, perfect for beginning quilters and experts!

There is a web tutorial here.

The specifics:

Start with 11- inch squares of fabric, this should leave you enough wiggle room to trim your block to 9-inches to send.

You will be making 2 sets of these 3-blocks-a-set. You will have 2 partners. You send each partner 1 block from each set and keep one block of each set for yourself. REPEATING TO BE CLEAR: Make two sets of three blocks. Send each partner 1 9-inch block of each set, 2 blocks total.

No holiday or religious fabric! Otherwise, fabrics are SENDER'S CHOICE!

No single surround centers. In other words - when finished each block should contain 3 pieces of each fabric. If you have any questions, ask away. :-)

If you receive 2 crazy nine patch quilt blocks from your partner you must rate a 5.

You must have a 4.98 rating to join. No unexplained 3's or unresolved 1's. Newbies are allowed with filled out profiles.

I will cover flakers, but you will need to give the flaker a 1 rating.

thanks, I love these blocks, I never did receive my blocks from the last swap of which the hostess was my partner, hopefully this one will go better!!!!!!

Do each of the crazy nine patch squares have to be exactly the same or can they each be different. Since it says '2 sets' I'm assuming so, but I just want to make sure! Thanks!

You will use 3 different fabrics in each set. 1 set= 3 blocks. Those 3 blocks will have the same fabrics. Your 2nd set should be made with 3 new fabrics. If you look at the picture you will see that the placement will vary among the blocks in each set, so while they are the same pattern, they come out slightly different than each other. Hope that helps.
