Description:

I don't know about you, but I absolutely love whimsy jar swaps. The only problem is that they're expensive to ship sometimes and I never quite trust that the jar will get to the recipient unbroken. (Also, I have a zillion jars already!) So how about doing a whimsy jar with just the whimsy (no jar)?

Here's what you're going to do: Gather a bunch of great Halloween goodies (enough to fill a 16 oz jar at least) together and put them in a Ziplock bag instead of a jar. Then mail that Ziplock bag of awesomeness to your partner! If I were to guess, I'd say that at least fill a Quart size Ziplock or Gallon to qualify. Or if you're worried if it's enough, test it in a jar to see if it fills the jar. Don't skimp on your partner.

You're welcome to include gently used items, but nothing that's torn, dirty or smells bad. And please don't include candy or anything that might melt. Some people are still having some warm weather and it would be awful to ruin the package with melted goo inside!

Want some ideas of what to include? Think ribbons, stickers, buttons, charms, embellishments, punch outs, ephemera - anything that fits the theme! Bonus points if you decorate the package cleverly! Just make sure everything's inside a Ziplock bag so there's no way for it to get loose and makes its way out!

Now the particulars - I'm demanding a 4.5 rating because this is a package swap - not difficult but it will take some time and effort. No recent 1s or 3s. I reserve the right to ban anyone shady from the swap. Just please don't flake, okay? If you don't think you can follow through, don't join the swap! Also, communication is key. If you're going to be late, msg your partner and let them know.

There is also an International version of this swap at: Halloween: All Whimsy - No Jar (Intl

Any questions, please let me know! If this goes well, I may make it a series of swaps with different themes!

Happy swapping!

Hi im a newbie and ive noticed most of the swaps that im truly interested in are mostly type 3 and if not I still don't meet the rating requirements or I have to have so many type 3 swaps under my belt .My question is how can I get type 3 swaps under my belt if they seem to be impossible for me to join intill I have type 3 swaps completed? Can I do one on one swaps that are type 3 to get ratings up even if I must send mine first to.insure that the person's does not get flaked on as i do understand many people are out to get something for nothing in life.ifs it possible to do one on one type 3 swaps similar to this or other embellishment , secret gift swaps, etc where could i go to locate thoose willing to do so with me ? If anyone reads this and would enjoy one on one swaps for embellishments or similar things please let me know.Seems to be mostly atc or postcard swaps that im able to join and i dont do atc (as i can't draw a link and aren't very artist in that way) and i dont collect postcards so have none to send and honestly would not even know where to buy a postcard at .Thanks to anyone who helps with answers or guides me in any ways I truly want to get the most out of swapbot but don't want to join swaps simply to get ratings if it's something I'm not interested in as then I wouldn't have my heart and soul in it and that's not fair to my partner.thanks again !

Bummer... I was all excited about this until I read "no candy".... there are LOTS of candies that won't MELT! Chocolate is heavenly, but it ain't the only sweet-thing on the planet, yanno. ;)

I realize, but I didn't want to make it so specific that you had to put a particular kind of candy in it, and it seemed easier to just leave it out. And I'm just going to go buy my candy. Lol
