Description:

Decorate all the pockets with a beautiful rainbow colours theme. Fill the pockets with anything you like - stickers, washi samples, photos, ATC's, handmade pocket scrapbooking cards, pretty paper; items that represent ROYGBIV in some way, whether it's printed or homemade (a mixture makes for a great PL). Get all your ATC, scrapbooking, card making, art making juices flowing. Don't forget your letter pocket! :)

ROYGBIV: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet.

Because nine pocket sheets can be hard to find(or expensive) in some countries, I thought we could try opening it up to ten or six Pockets. It will allow us to let everyone who wants to participate join AND keep that international flair. Yay! The different sizes will not ruin the concept and will make for fun variety. If it doesn't work out we can always change it.

This swap is sender's choice, but this is the kind of swap where reading your partner's profile is important - you want them to LOVE these great letters. Be sure to send something you would like to receive.

★ Newbies welcome! (must have a well filled out profile)

★ 4.95 rating or higher

I will angel for this swap - please let me know.

I hope this isn't a dumb question --- but what is the difference between blue and indigo? I've tried to Google and found some color charts but I still can't really make a distinction... And by "violet" is that a light purple shade? Thanks!

@shalvorsen I found it difficult to find papers in indigo too. I went for a darker blue. Sometimes I break 'violet' into two by having one piece in lighter purple hues and the next piece of paper (or pocket) in a darker purple tone.

I could be wrong, but my understanding is that we use lots of colours. After all, the rainbow has 7 colours, whereas we have 9 pockets. So, don't stress, just make it as colorful as you can and I'm sure you'll be okay.

If in doubt, contact the host by private message, or ask your partner.

I used multi colored papers for each pocket, with a nice 'something' on the front, to make it easier on the eyes.

@Lizard thanks for your reply, that makes sense to me now. :) This will be my first pocket letter so I am wanting to do a good job.

It will be my first one too ;-)

I always do a light blue and a navy blue or a darkish blue/purple and a lighter purple - depending on what I have. :)
