What is a pocket letter?: Pocket letters were created by Janette Lane, and you can get more info on them by clicking here. She has all sorts of ideas on her website as well.

For your pocket letters, you will need a 9 pocket trading card sleeve, also called a 9 Pocket Page Protector. In each pocket you will place a decorated card/paper 2.5 x 3.5 inches in size, the typical size of a playing/trading card. You don't have to decorate the back of the cards/papers, but you can if you want to.

The back part is where you will put your pocket letter goodies for your partner. There are all sorts of things you can add, and a list of ideas will be at the bottom of this swap page. You can check out pinterest and youtube for ideas as well!

One of the pockets will contain your letter, and for these swaps I will have a few questions for you related to the theme of the pocket letter that you will answer for your partner.

Pocket letters can usually fit nicely into a size 10 business enevelope which can help keep shipping low!

HALLOWEEN POCKET LETTERS: GHOSTIES

You will create a Halloween pocket letter for your partner using ghosts as your theme. They can be cute ghosts, or scary ghosts- you can choose. Be as creative as you want with this theme, just make sure you put effort into your pocket letter and make it something they will just SCREAM with glee over. :)

The GOODIES don't have to stick to the theme, but THREE of the nine pockets must have Halloween themed goodies inside them. Every pocket should have a goodie, except the pocket where your letter goes.

(I say this only because we may not be able to find a lot of Halloween goodies this time of year, and we may not want to completely deplete our own stashes of Halloween items. As Halloween draws closer this will change!!)

Your LETTER will be placed into one of the pockets, include your swapbot username along with the swap name, and you must answer the following 3 questions related to our theme:

Do you believe in ghosts? Why/why not?

Have you ever seen a ghost or thought you did?

What is your favorite ghost movie, book, story, poem, or song?

I really hope all of you choose to join! I will try my best to host one a month if I can, but I can't promise that right now. :)

GOODIES IDEAS:

Stickers, papers, cut outs, chipboard, ATCs, embellishments, ribbon, twine, sticky notes, small cards, small envelopes, cool paper clips, tea, charms, buttons, brads, paper flowers, washi tape samples, small bookmarks, tags, etc. Any smaller, flat-ish item is good. You can send some bulkier items if you are shipping within your own country, or more flat items if you are shipping internationally! :D

I apologize for assigning partners late! Life got in the way and I completely forgot. I will extend the send-by date by a couple of days to even it out so everyone still has enough time to do their pocket letters. I'll make sure this doesn't happen in future swaps.
