Description:

Anyone who knows me knows how much I LOVE anything detective and sleuth-relating, so this is such a fabulous idea for a swap theme!

I saw this great swap listed, but it's international, and I just can't afford international postage if I am going to send a nice package. So, I am posting my own version of this swap just for those of us in the US and Canada who cannot afford international postage.

Ready to have fun? Here goes...

Details of swap: ...Each person will have a secret partner in which they will stalk around Swap-Bot and other possible areas like blogs, websites, wherever you can find info about your assigned swap partner. Revealing yourself to your partner is not allowed until after you have sent your items. So, PMing or emailing them to ask what they want is not allowed. You have to play detective a bit on this one!

DO NOT post hints in the comments section.... that would take the detective work out of it. But do make sure you have a good profile and perhaps a blog URL so your assigned partner can get some good ideas about you.

Here's HOW TO: You click on your secret partner's profile and her listed blog url, and you also check out other swaps your partner has participated in. Try to find all the bits of info about your assigned partner that you can. Then make up a nice small package of items based on what you have sleuthed about your assigned partner and send it off.

Make the package as large or as small as you want, but to even the playing field, let's make certain that the package you send is worth a minimum of $15 US. (Canadian is almost the same value as US these days, so $15 Canadian as well.)

DO NOT send junk or items you have laying around that you don't want just to be sending something. Make certain that what you send is new or in good condition, or something you handcrafted yourself, and something that matches what you have detected about your assigned partner.

So get out those spyglasses and raincoats and spy manuals and let's go sleuthing!!

No one with less than a 4.7 rating, NO EXCEPTIONS. Sorry, NO NEWBIES. I'll leave the signup date extended to give newbies a chance to get a rating. But there are no exceptions to my policy.

Any questions? Just contact me privately!

LET'S HAVE FUN!!!!!!

A BIG THANK YOU to my partner. You are an awesome detective! I LOVE everything you sent to me. Thank you so much! I can't wait to leave you a rating and if I could leave you 5 hearts, I would! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!

If you have "SerenityRae..." as your partner, you might want to reconsider sending to her if you haven't already. Her profile has been deleted. Her partner most likely won't be receiving from her. And if you send to her, you won't get a rating from her as she is not on Swap-bot (at least not under that name) now. Please reconsider holding your package for her partner. I've seen this before and am just giving a heads up about it.

Karla, thanks for the heads up. I've been on top of this for the past week, though, and everything is under control.

Thanks to Melissa (Dreamhope) for a great swap! Everything is wonderful and thoughtful. I love the Jane Austen finger puppet and you managed to get one of the Montgomery books I don't have. Thanks so much!

Natana: I'm so glad you liked it! I had a lot of fun putting it all together for you.

I wanted to send you "Emily of New Moon", which is my favourite L.M. Montgomery book (and the first book of a trilogy), but I couldn't find a copy anywhere in the time I had. If you haven't already read it, I highly recommend it.

Mailed a package to Mary today! I hope that you enjoy it, Mary, as I enjoyed putting it together for you. :)
