Description:

Pocket Letters are the latest snail mail craze, so I thought it would be fun to do a Craft Beer and/or Adult Beverage Label pocket letter.

Pocket letters have been popularized by Janette Lane and they truly are a fun to make, give, and receive.

For this swap, you will send two partners a pocket letter. You will use a storebought nine-pocket trading card protector--this is the 8.5 x 11 size that fits inside a regular 3-ring binder. Fill the pockets as follows:

The front of your 9 pockets should show a craft beer label or adult beverage label (a good way to recycle) - be it the real deal or printed from your computer, they must be legible and in good shape - if you have a label that uses two pockets that is allowed for two of the pockets. Make sure your labels have a sturdy backing - I have made some for another site using Craft Beer Labels and loved the result!!

The backs of the pockets can be plain but include the following in those pockets: a letter explaining where you got your labels, and what is YOUR favorite adult beverage, a sealed tea bag, and three pockets should just have something fun for your partner to use, such washi tape, playing cards, quotes, etc.

So five of the back pockets need something as indicated in them.

Fold your pocket letter and place inside a business-size envelope. Be sure to reinforce the envelope so contents aren't lost along the way. I wrap clear packing tape around the entire envelope.

Pocket letters are a little more expensive to mail, but they're typically under $2.00 to mail within the USA. For that reason, the swap is USA-only.

If you have questions, please PM me!

Because of the time involved in creating a pocket letter and the expense of mailing it, I'm setting the rating requirement at 4.98 with no unexplained 1's and/or 3's in the last three months.

Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)

OK, so it says each pocket has a different label, but are we allowed to decorate each label or should we leave them plain?

@Ozzyfisgirl - the swap does say if you have a label that uses two pockets that is allowed for two of the pockets (some of the bomber labels on the craft beers are fairly large). I usually don't embellish these PL's much because I enjoy seeing the labels but each to their own and if your style is to embellish, please do so! I add a few drink things here and there but that is about all. Hope that answered your question and if not, let me know! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
