What do people do with swapped grannies? I've always wondered. I mean, you COULD make an afghan out of them, but they are all going to end up different sizes, so I am not sure how well that would work. This has kept me from joining a granny swap. I just can't think what I'd do with it.

Usually the host will continue to host the same swap over and over. For instance this one may be re-posted once a month or so for you to join. Eventually you will have a collection of 6" squares to put together to create an afghan or a lapghan. I joined a 12" granny square swap for many months and was able to make a 16 square afghan that I donated to a retirement home at Christmastime. It turned out beautifully!!
That swap no longer exists, so I was glad this swap was created!! (A fellow swapper and I continue to swap the 12" squares privately, however.) Hope this helps and you will join us!!
