Description:

A swap partner recently sent me a bit of triva on how her town was named. The postal service would not allow the town to be named what they originally wanted it to be so they had to alter the name. There are numerous bits of trivia and interesting stories about post offices, postage stamps, the postal service, etc, locally and around the world.

This swap is about postal triva. You will send your partner a postcard listing 1 piece of postal triva, any kind.

The postcard is sender's choice however, if you have a postal related pc, it might make for a nice addition to the swap but it's not required. Also feel free to read your partner's profile for ideas, but this too, is not required. The postcard is to be sent "naked" (no envelope).

PLEASE REMEMBER TO INCLUDE THE NAME OF THE SWAP AND YOUR USER ID on the back of the card.

One way to find postal triva or stories is to set a "Google Alert" for your email on "post office", "postage stamp", "postal history", etc. for a few days and see what interesting articles you receive. To set up a Google Alert, https://support.google.com/alerts/answer/4815696?hl=en or https://www.google.com/alerts to set the alert . You can also Google "postal trivia" for ideas.

This is an international swap and will require extra postage. If you are not willing to or cannot afford to pay for international postage please do not sign up. Also, please be aware that international mail may take more than 2 weeks to arrive.

I will angel if necessary.

Happy Swapping 😃
