I love these they are so cute, unfortunately in New Zealand our bandaids only come in boxes :-( I would so love to receive one just to look and see how they are done

The one you see in the picture there (notice how under the bows there is a handle?) is actually bought at a craft store. Here in the US it is rare to find band-aids in tins anymore, but companies have caught on that people miss them, and you can often buy them at craft stores. Usually they have a handle or knob, or other \'closure\' device, even though they technically don\'t need one. You can order some very clever (metal) band-aid tins full of clever bandaids from www.mcphee.com (just click on \'bandages\' and look at all the SILLY ones they have! They work, and make my otherhalf smile, so we drop by and buy them now and again.)

Damn, I wish they made band-aid tins in Australia. Who\'s bright idea was it to make band-aids in boxes, pssh. Maybe I will see if my craft store sells them, but somehow I doubt they will.

Here in the Netherlands, band-aid are also only sold in boxes :-( So I can\'t participate.

Joanns sells them with a handle for $1.99. Their website is http://www.joanns.com . They are currently offering free shipping for orders over $35 if you need other supplies as well. Unfortunately they only ship domestic.

I checked around and Oriental trading sells them in a 3 pack for $4.95. (they call them "tall thin tins") They will ship internationaly but you'll have to place the order by phone or fax. Hope that helps!

im having trouble decorating these...what kind of paint should i use?

user5713 03/13/2007 #

nimzay ~ If you want to paint it one color just about any of the krylon brand spray paints will work. If you want to do some decorative painting any acrylic paint should stick to the krylon base color. You may have to use a sealer or glaze when you're done so it will resist scratches. Hope that helps!
