Description:

Wouldn't it be great to combine poetry and ATCs? Here's your chance! Make a creative ATC using an original haiku and your artistic talent! Haiku is a form of poetry that has three lines in total: 5 syllables for the first line, 7 syllables for the second line, and 5 syllables for the third line. You probably learned this in school at some point if your schooling was anything like mine. Here's a quick and simple one about my favorite subject, my dog:

Resting on my bed, Paws extended in mid-air, The long day over.

Here are the rules:

Make one ATC for one partner (that's one total.) Please use your own haiku, and stick to the format above. Use whatever art stuff you like to complete the ATC (colored pencils, embellishments, fancy papers, etc.) Please don't do the sticker slapped on a card kind of thing. It's not cool. Newbies allowed with completed profiles, and anyone else with ratings of 4.8 or above. If you have any recent bad ratings and would like to discuss, please PM me.

I keep saying "No more signing up for swaps until you get some of the ones you've already signed up for done." and then I run into one that I just think is the coolest. So, thanks a lot for making me break my own rule AGAIN!!! :-)

This will be super fun. Thanks for hosting!

I love that you think my swap is so cool!

"Ernie's long day is over" is seven syllables...

KaarinaNavane, yeah, I guess that was me thinking too hard, lol! Thanks for noticing. It's been edited, and I'm blushing in embarrassment...Please excuse the mistake in my own example!

heehee I frequent a chat room on Kingdom of Loathing where you have to speak entirely in haiku, so I'm used to syllable counting. I would have phrased it as "his long day is done" myself. Anyway, I'm looking forward to the swap!
