Description:

Hello fellow swappers!

One of my favorite things about sending a letter to a penpal, is including a mail tag. A mail tag is basically a set of few questions that you ask your penpal in order to get to know them a little better. So for this swap, you will be answering some “mail tag” questions & then mailing them off to your partners. This swap will consist of 12 questions- all regarding your holiday experiences! It’s a great way to get to know someone, meet potential new penpals, and get 2 easy ratings!

The rules are as follows:

You will be assigned 2 partners each. All you have to do is answer each of the 12 mail tag questions, and make sure to write your answers down in either a nice notecard or a cute stationery sheet of paper. After you’ve written down your answers, make sure to include a short wish for your swap buddy's new year! Once you're finished, grab an envelope and decorate it. You don’t have to go all out, just get a little creative with it and make it pretty so that your envelope can stand out in the mailbox 😊 You can use washi tape, stickers, magazine cutouts, pieces of scrapbook paper, colored pencils, hand drawn doodles, paint, stamps & ink, etc. The options are endless. (Optional: You can also include a short letter or a few questions of your own in hopes that your swap buddy will write back. If you do this, make sure to include your address so your swap buddy knows where to send the reply 😊.) When you’re finished, make sure to include a small note with: 1) Your swapbot name, 2) the name of the swap, & 3) the day it was sent. After that, seal the envelope, mail it off & voila!

Mail tag questions:

  1. What did you do for Christmas?
  2. What gifts did you give?
  3. Favorite gift that you received?
  4. List 3 of the Christmas songs you listened to the most.
  5. What did you do for New Years Eve?
  6. What was your favorite holiday dish? Dessert?
  7. Who did you spend your holidays with?
  8. What family tradition (if any) did you celebrate?
  9. Did you celebrate any other holidays aside from Christmas and New Years? If so, which one(s)?
  10. What was your favorite part about Christmas?
  11. Favorite part about New Years Eve?
  12. What was the most memorable moment that you encountered during your holidays? (this could be a moment that was weird, good, bad, embarrassing, etc.)

So to recap:

  • You will have 2 partners.

  • You will have to answer ALL of the “mail tag” questions.

  • Remember to write a short "new year" wish.

  • Make sure to include a small note indicating who the mail is from.

  • And lastly, don’t forget to decorate the envelope! 😊

A few last things to note:

  • If your swap buddy has met these requirements, make sure to rate them a 5!

  • Remember to send your answers by the due date.

  • Also remember that this is an international swap, so bear in mind that the postage might vary.

  • If you have any questions, comments, or concerns; comment them below or PM me 😊

I will be letting newbies join, so long as you have a well filled out profile, not just a sentence or two. As for rated swappers, you must have a 4.9 to participate and no recent 1s or 3s. I have the right to ban anyone who I find suspicious or does not meet these requirements. I will be checking profiles. I'll also angel if needed, after you have firstly contacted your partner, and rated them a 1. With that said, please don’t flake on your partners! I want this to be a fun swap, so let’s try to keep it that way. Happy swapping everyone & happy holidays! 😊

Edit: Due to the craft component required in this swap (all of the decoration, letter writing, and time that it takes), I've decided to change it from a type 2 to a type 3! 🙂
