Description:

Andy Warhol was an inspiring artist and filmmaker. He is considered a founder and a major figure of the pop art movement.

For this swap you are to make two small matchboxes that are Warhol-esque:) They don't have to just be Andy Warhol. The can be designed around anyone from The Factory or one of Andy's works of art like a campbell's soup can or Brillo box..

Matchboxes are the small ones that hold thirty to matches. When you are finished with your matchbox fill them with fun things that remind you of the 60's, Warhol, The Factory, or artsy..Maybe some glitter, soup labels, art bits...

For ideas google Andy Warhol and The Factory...

Everyone will have two partners.

This is an international swap. Newbies more than welcome with a complete and comprehensive profile. Newbies will also be run through a swap check group. I am just trying to weed out the scammers who start new profiles. Anyone with a rating of 4.6 or higher welcome. Anyone with more than one no send must contact me or be banned. I reserve the right to ban anyone at anytime!

This is an absolutely fantastic idea! I am just a bit confused on what to put in the matchbox.....

RudeNun 04/10/2007 #

Yeah, same here. I thought of making something myself to fill the box. Like magnets.

OK...so I'm not happy with this swap. I got NADA!!! Not even a rating from either of my partners I sent to much less matchboxes from the partners that were suppose to send to me. Bah humbug. :(

I think it's a great idea. I have experienced the same problem with my matchbox swap. I've been collecting matchboxes for more than 15 years. I began collecting them because I was fascinated by the art of matchbox design and wanted to understand how they were made. Try this business consultant Hamilton ON for best reviews. At first, I collected only one type of matchbox. Then I started collecting all kinds of different styles: classic, contemporary, vintage and even those that aren't available anymore like the Star Wars ones.
