Description:

For this swap we will be swapping quilting blocks! (12")

2 Blocks to 1 Partner.

It is a BOM sampler quilt from 2008, by Delaware Quilts. Very cute and easy quilt. Great for beginners and advanced quilters alike. Scrap friendly!

For This Swap:

We will be doing 2 of the quilt squares (aka #1 and #2). The directional links are below:

Block #1 Dutchman's Puzzle : http://delawarequilts.com/BOMs/DutchmansPuzzle/index.html

Block #2 Pinwheel: http://delawarequilts.com/BOMs/Pinwheel/index.html

Color/Fabric Rules:

Scrappy, in 3 main colors/values. The Quilt pattern calls for Background, Light, and Dark. Please use a "white on white" for the background. The light and dark are up to you, but should be from the same color family. No solids. Fabrics should be 100% cotton.

Your Blocks:

SHOULD BE 12 1/2" X 12 1/2" each (which will finish at 12" x 12"). (These are small enough to fit in a business sized envelope if folded in thirds!)

Finished Quilt Size:

Varies. As small as 54" x 70", or larger (with some additional squares). The monthly patterns can be found (for free) at: http://delawarequilts.com/BOMs/08Sampler/. (This site also has additional layout options.)

Fun

Let's have fun with this! Please ask any questions below and I will answer them as quick as possible. Private message me for faster responses. Rating of 4.98 or higher required. Any recent 1s or 3s please message me first.

Rating:

If you get your block and it meets requirements please rate a 5. Hearts, as always, are at your discretion. If the block is more than 1/8" off, please give your partner the chance to re-do the square for the full 5. Let's not have any quilting police...

Discussion

If you are hesitant about the dutchman's puzzle, I don't mind if you were to do 2 HST instead of the flying geese. They do turn out the same, just more seams with the HST...
