Do you like to read? Do you always end up using little scraps for book marks because you don't have a "real" one? Are you tired of waiting for that cool swap to start because the start date is 3 weeks out? Then this swap is for you! For this swap, you'll be sending your partner a book and a bookmark (sender's choice). This is a fast turn around so you can get crackin! Here are the details:

  1. The book may be used, but must be in excellent condition!

  2. the bookmark may be store bought or hand made. Please note that if you are hand making your partner's book mark, please don't just cut out a sliver of paper and slap some stickers on it, please put some love into it.

  3. Please include a small note on why you are sending them that specific book. If you've read it share why it's worth sending. If you haven't read it, write about why it appealed to you to send it to your partner

Although this is a sender's choice on book and bookmark, it would be nice if you read your partner's profile. If they like the color blue and cupcakes, maybe you could make them a cup cake bookmark with a blue ribbon. You get the idea. You may post what type of genre you would like to receive below (like mystery, romance etc.) but it's entirely up to your partner what they will send.

Newbies are welcome!

I like most fiction novels especially Mystery, thriller and comedy books. I DISLIKE receiving books in the middle of a series (like book 3 out of a series of 5). If you want to introduce me to a new series start me on the first book :)

MissPrincess 01/21/2009 #

Hi would love to join you here!

Strungalong 01/21/2009 #

I'll take any books that you have enjoyed reading lately. I think it will be exciting to receive a book that I would normally not choose for myself. I am slightly addicted to bookmarks, so I am really looking forward to a new one. I hope my mate doesn't mind a cloth bookmark since sewing is my thing!

aherrst 01/21/2009 #

I am a book lover with a shortage of quality bookmarks. I would love to read something that you have enjoyed recently or received a good recommendation for - a fun bookmark that has some character would be great! Thanks in advance :)

I love crime, thriller and mystery books, I really like odd cookbooks (themed like charlie brown or oreo etc) and I love crime books that are of a genre such as ones that revolve around subjects like cooking or scrapbooking. I will however read almost anything.

corplyn 01/24/2009 #

I'm in, I like sci fi/ fantasy, and also mystery, I like westerns also, and have been known to read romance if nothing else is around. So I am not at all picky.

corplyn 01/24/2009 #

Oh, and remember if it is books it can be sent media mail, which is a LOT cheaper!

stacirose 01/25/2009 #

Media Mail only pertains to US mail...can't use it to send internationally. Also, sometimes it's cheaper to send first class, USPS will always let you know. :)

I like photography essays, cookbooks, fantasy, graphic novels, classics, and pretty much any novel that's not very complex(English is not my first language).

I also love books "for kids", like roald dahl's o michael ende's.
