Oriental Scrap Paper Swap

Beautiful. Inexpensive. Easy to send.

For this swap, please send your partner a minimum of 25 Oriental-themed papers/scrap papers. For a heart, you could include a little something else extra that compliments the theme or the papers you have chosen.

Hopefully you'll have everything you need for your swap in your collection, but if not, please plan to spend no more than $5USD and as this is an international swap, please consider postage.

I would encourage you to take the time to have a read through your partners profile and incorporate their wants/likes/needs into your parcel...everyone loves receiving things that they not only want, but can put to good use. And there's nothing better than receiving a parcel that gets you excited :)

Ok, for all the Official Stuff.

The last day to signup is 28 February '09 and your parcel must be posted to your swap partner by 15 March '09. I've given a fortnight for this swap due to the specialty theme and to ensure that we all have adequate time to fill/decorate/pack/etc. to the best of our crafty capabilities! :) (And also because I have a teething baby at the moment...takes me twice as long to get anything done...)

The swap is open to all swappers with at least a 4.9 rating and NO no-sends, ever (if you have a valid reason and want to participate in the swap, feel free to drop me an email to explain). All swappers must have a completely-completed profile – if you haven't updated yours in some time, now is the time to list all of those wants/likes/needs in case a Crafty Fairy Godmother is watching over you...No Newbies this time around, sorry guys!

If you don't meet these criteria, you will be removed from the swap.

Additionally, I am unable to angel this swap, but I don't think there should be a need :)

As this is an international swap, please make sure that your parcel complies with all custom regulations and is packaged securely for posting. You will be assigned one partner only.

Most importantly, have fun creating your swap and aim for those 5/hearts!

Discussion

I have a lot of papers I could send. My concern is the size of the scraps. I prefer an item to be counted should be at least 4x5(big enough for an ATC and a few slivers. I usually try to send bigger. I would not care for alot of tiny scraps unless they were extras or counted as one item. What is your take on the piece/scrap size?

Sparkles 02/26/2009 #

Yes, I'm with you on this one. Sorry I forgot to clarify in the swap notes. AT LEAST an ATC size...I don't make them, but I've had people say they are between 3x4 and 4x5, so lets say at least 4x4 to make everyone happy. I guess common sense needs to prevail, as well, because I'm not sure how much use everyone would get out of a parcel full of postage-size scraps! :)

Guess it's just you -n- me, huh? I'm surprised this one didn't get more signups, I thought it was a great idea! Oh well, their loss! ... I'll be sending your packet off this coming week :)
