Description:

I've noticed several posts in the forums from some of the group members who are not feeling very confident with their Zentangling skills! This is a swap to welcome you!

Try out your hand at the Zentangle concept by making 1 postcard each for 3 partners --practice brings proficiency!. (You will make 3 postcards total.)

Use white cardstock or bristol board for the postcard and a black pen for the drawing. Sharpies can do a decent job, as can several of the rollerball pens or gel pens, but Pigma Microns are the pen of choice once you've been doing these for awhile! The better the pen and ground you start with, the more enjoyable the doodling is, and the nicer the result in the end. ;)

If the 4" x 6" postcard size seems intimidating, try drawing two ATC size (2.5 " x 3") spaces on the front of your postcard and Zentangling those spaces instead! ..and if you're feeling intimidated about starting right off with a permanent mark, try sketching your doodles with pencil first. ;) Sketch lightly and you can remove the marks later!

If you have any troubles, post questions here on the swap comments or pm me and I will try to help out. :)

Accomplished Zentanglers are welcome to join in the fun.

no color allowed?

For this swap, let's keep it traditional-- black and white. The idea is to get a feel for the process, and keeping it "true" to its concept seems appropriate.

There will be other swaps where color is allowed or encouraged. :)
