Description:

This is a pretty involved swap, so please read carefully and be sure to ask your partner any questions you have. I want everyone to love what they receive, so if you can be as specific as possible in the comments below, that would be so helpful.

UPDATE - there are no longer socks involved with this swap

I would love to spend a night over Halloween weekend curled up with a great letter, snacks, drink, relaxing and open up a very special gift.

Sound good? Read on then!

You will have one partner and you will put together a package that will contain the following items. These items must be as profile specific as possible, based on the comments below and your partners profile.

You will be sending:

  1. A two page letter, written or printed front and back on anything you would like to discuss about Halloween. It could be a short story, or detailed information on your Halloween plans, or a bit about why you love halloween so much.

  2. A drink packet - either wrapped tea bags or hot chocolate. I'm not sure if they make coffee this way, but if your partner loves coffee, and they make single serve coffee, that would be fine as well. This needs to be profile specific, so be sure to list your preferances below.

  3. A few fun Halloween themed snacks. Let's say one sweet and one salty. FULL SIZE candy bars or boxes of candy (think movie theatre size) You can also send cookies or snack cakes if that is what your partner wishes. Don't send potato chips, they will never survive the trip - more like pretzels, crackers, etc. Again, please list your favorites below.

  4. Finally, another special type of wrapped gift. The value of the gift should be between $5-$8 dollars It should be Halloween themed. It could be home decor, accessories or jewelry, toys or plush. Please write several wishes of gifts. You will need to purchase these items and send them in the package of this swap, do not order and ship separately.

Place all items carefully in a sturdy box and send to your partner. You must wrapped the special gift but you may also wrap all the other items as well.

Now, you will have to leave some information in the comments below listing your likes, dislike and prefrances below. The more detailed you are, the better.

If you do not leave a comment, I unfortunately will have to remove you from the swap right before I assign partners. Please reach out to me if you have any questions about this swap. After partners are assigned, if you want to reach out to your partner to ask any questions, thats a fine idea.

Looking forward to creating a cozy night in for someone!

I have a pretty detailed profile but I will say that I would love some type of hot chocolate or flavored black tea. I also love crew socks, not ankle socks and fuzzy ones are fine as long as they have the rubber treads on the bottom. I wear a size 10 shoe so most stand size socks fit ok but I like larger size socks if I can find them. For snacks, I like anything chocolate, candy corn, licorice. all kinds of cookies and crackers too. For special gifts, I love craft items, but I especially love plush halloween critters! Also, jewelry is nice.

Hi @ChinaCat - No, unfortunately, I won't be hosting this swap more than once. However, if you'd like to, you could certainly host it again, perhaps with some slight changes if you'd like.

Drink Pack - I love fruity black, green, white, and oolong teas. No mint or licorice/anise please. I also love chais and cinnamon. Loose tea is my favorite, but bagged is okay too. I also love hot chocolate too. No coffee, please.

Snacks - love pretzels, love fruity, gummy, sour candies. Also love cinnamon candies (hot tamales and that kind of thing). Dark chocolate (fruit and nuts in also great).

Regular size socks will be fine for me. I would prefer not fuzzy if possible :). I love witches, jack-o-lanterns, black cats, tarot cards.

Wrapped gift - I'm a quilter, if you wanted to find a couple halloween themed fat quarters at Joanns that would delight me. I also love note cards, post cards, washi tape, Halloween window clings (no blood/gore themed please), glow in the dark dice (I play DnD so if there's a polyhedral set, even more fun!), halloween earrings (I have pierced ears).

UPDATED!! I have removed the socks from the swap. I heard from several other swappers who were concerned about getting the right size/style so it was just easier to remove them. Sorry.

Drinks - I drink tea everyday of the week - I like black flavored tea - both regular and decaf, white tea, oolong tea. I use both loose and bagged tea as long as it is not the standard Lipton tea. Not really into herbal teas and I have tons of green teas. I drink an occasional hot chocolate - mainly in my Keurig. I never, ever, ever drink coffee.

Snacks - I like dark sea salt chocolate with caramel are my favorites, but any dark chocolate is good. I like gummies - especially the ones shaped like cheeries. I chew tons of Wrigley's Doublemint gum. I like butterfingers and Reeses peanut butter cups.

Wrapped gift - I am not too picky but prefer fun goofy things to wear over what my mom would call "dust" catchers. I have spent the last two years decluttering my house - I am not a minimalist by far, but something new comes in something old has to go. I like holiday earrings, bracelets, funny headbands, fuzzy headbands to wear outside (cold here on Halloween in Michigan), gloves. I also sew - so I can always use thread in Halloween colors - orange, black, purple - all would be appreciated. Halloween napkins - paper or cloth. Maybe a cloth basket (not plastic - have some of those) - something to hand out treats in. I like Vintage Halloween pins - but they are hard to find.
