Description:

Do you have lots of little objects and cards that you received in swaps hanging around the house and creating clutter? I love going through all the cute little things when I need cheering up, and would love to have them in a designated swap-spot, a treasure box for swaps.

I need a Swap-box, a decorated box nice enough to keep in plain view that I can keep all those little things I'm keeping but don't yet have use for. If you need one too, please join this swap.

For this swap, you'll take a sturdy box, such as a photo box, small hat box, or a heavyweight shoe box, about 12" x 6" or a bit larger, and decorate it in a way you think your partner would like based on their profile and comments they post here. Pack it in a slightly larger box and send off. Big package, but light in weight, so open to International.

Swap ratings above 4.6, no no-sends, and no newbies for this one. Contact me if you have questions.

Don't forget to post styles and images you like and don't like to help your partner decide how to decorate. Any medium is fine, as long as the plain cardboard is completely covered.

Decorating themes I like are birds, spirals, leaves, ferns, beach/seashore, glass, Japanese art. I don't like cutesy/girly stuff.

You must have been reading my mind!!! My family is always telling me I need to put my swap stuff somewhere, so why not somewhere nice!!

Ideas for me: frogs, fairies, Winnie the Pooh (Eyore) or anything country-homey (blues, mauves or greens)

Great Idea! A hat box would be a nice thing to decorate too. Have fun creating and swapping!!!

how fun... how about using one of the photo boxes (i have a few in plain colors) to decorate... you know the ones you get at michaels or joannes for a couple of dollars?? and they are pretty sturdy (and come with dividers!!)

for me, i like jewel tone colors (red, dark pink, teal, blue, emerald greens, violet...) and anything that is aged looking! i also like the vintage images, the ocean, fairies and mythical creatures, and on and on... this should be fun, since all my goodies are in a mini milk crate where i cant find a thing! ) thank you for thinking of this one!

Merri Amelie, a photo box or a hatbox is a great idea! Why didn't I think of that? Welcome to the swap!

Hi, This is a new venture for me. I tend to stick with ATC swaps and thought I need a new challenge. I like flowers, trees, birds, muted colours, textured paper. The more natural looking the better, nothing too garish or in-your-face.

Elizabeth, your Treasure Box is on its way from the UK. I had great fun making it and, as you will see, used up lots of my bits of scrap paper!!
