This swap is adapted from Max Lucado's Life Lessons bible study on Ephesians. This is Lesson 2 of 12 and I will host one swap per lesson. Each lesson varies in length.

You may handwrite or type your swap and use any medium or type of paper you prefer (eg. lined note paper, journal, etc.). Just make sure that it is legible and can be read. Follow the prompts and answer the questions below! Enjoy & message me if you have any questions!

LESSON 2: THE POWER OF OUR FAITH

Answer the following REFLECTION question: Power and faith rarely come together in the same sentence. People tend to think of faith as a trait that creates endurance, comfort, and perhaps influence with God. But powerful faith? Those who spend time with authentic faithful people discover there's power in faith. Or more accurately, power released by faith. Can you name two or three people you think have a powerful faith in God? What are the evidences of their faith?

READ: Ephesians 1:15-23.

Answer the following EXPLORATION questions:

  1. Why does having faith make a difference in our lives?

  2. Paul prayed for the Ephesians to have a spirit of wisdom and revelation to know God better. Describe the process of knowing God better.

  3. What rich and glorious blessings promised by God do you hold on to in your life?

  4. The same power that raised Christ from the dead works through our faith. In what way should we be using the power of our faith?

  5. If God is over all rulers, kings, and powers in this world, why do evil dictators exist?

Answer the following REACTION questions:

  1. How do God's sovereignty and man's will coexist? (As much as possible, base your answer on this lesson's passage from Ephesians).

  2. What is the relationship of our will to our salvation?

  3. What about your salvation causes you to actively trust God? In what areas of life?

  4. Describe God's relationship to his church, as Paul states it in this passage. (See also Ephesians 5:22-32 and Colossians 1:18-20.)

  5. How would Paul describe the quality of faith you see around you today?

  6. Paul says the church is the body of Christ. In what way is the church filled with Christ?

Answer the following JOURNALING question: In what ways am I thankful for my salvation?
