Description:

This swap is for people who love to watch movies and would like to keep track of what they have seen and who would like to share their movie choices with two partners.

This swap was originally based on the 2008/2009 Reading log swaps coordinated by Artistic which have been great fun. Artistic agreed that this would be a fun twist to her idea - and she even joined 2009 Movie log#1. (Thanks again, Artistic!) Some swappers had a really good time and asked me to host it again - so here it is!

You’ll be sending your partners a movie log that contain your thoughts on all the movies you have seen in April, May and June 2009. The movies can be seen at the theater, TV, videotape or DVD. The log can be in paper form, or a Word file on a CD or a DVD with some filmed clips of yourself giving a review about the movies you have seen.

(Some of the book logs I received had been quite large. A CD file would cost less to send.) Also, the option of a DVD would be for those creative types who know how to put together movie clips, or maybe a PowerPoint presentation. Keep in mind, though, that some people may only be making a simple paper log - that is ok for this swap - but you might use this swap as a reason to play around with the movie feature on your digital camera. Your choice - just have fun with it and not stress over it.

Please keep to respectable types of movies and presentations (no X-rated). We don't want any negative surprises when swap partners open their packages. Thanks!

In summary: 1. International (sent via the post, not email) 2. Two (2) partners 3. minimum requirements: three movies with info about the actors, a synopsis of the plot, other interesting comments, just general stuff - try not to give the ending away! 4. No newbies. (Sorry). This is the second swap I have decided to coordinate and I want it to be a good experience for everyone – including me! I haven't finished up with the last one yet but some folks were getting antsy since we're already into the 2nd quarter. If this one goes well, I’ll probably be doing another one for the next quarter as well. 5. Rated players need a 4.8 or higher and have a completed profile.

Let’s have fun with this! (Thanks for looking!)

Does PowerPoint work to create DVDs off digital camera recordings? I've recently gotten my first digicam, and am very interested in learning how to do that... I know how to do everything else with a DVD except that and would LOVE to make a DVD of movie reviews!! Fun, fun, fun! If I can't get that advanced, I'll just do a simple journal log of all the movies I watch... But a warning to my partner: You are in for a HUGE amount of reviews, as I am a stay at home all day and watch a marathon of movies type person who doesn't work... lol I'm in!!!;cD ♥

I'm not sure if moving pics can work inside power point - I've only used it for still pics within the slide show. But, hey, give it a try. It might work - and you can let the rest of us know. Thanks for signing up!
