Your first ever book

This swap is a memory-jogger of sorts, a nice trip down memory lane. Do you remember the first book you ever owned and read, or tried to read? Share your first book/reading experience with your swap-pal. Send a copy of the book plus a little note describing your experience with it: who gave it to you? were you old enough to read it or did you just look at the illustrations? what language is it written in (if it is not obvious)? do you still have it? (the note should be about half a page long but please feel free to write more if you're feeling inspired)

It will be interesting to see how far back people can trace the presence of books in their lives and the different sorts of books each of us came in contact with. This is an international swap, so expect books in different languages.

Used boks are fine but make sure they are in good condition. No colouring books please.
