Description:

Having a fun array of pencils makes you want to pick one up and write with it. Writing with a unique pencil is magical. I'm 36 years old, but I still love the feel of a new pencils as I write a note, or a poem, or doodle.

With school starting soon and so many of us buying packs of pencils, I thought it would be perfect to divvy up our packs and swap a few. This way, we will all have a huge variety of interesting pencils to inspire us, and/or inspire our children.

So, we are swapping 10 individual, unique novelty writing pencils. Pencils may be of a similar theme (Hello Kitty, for example), but should each be different. You may add a pencil topper or unique eraser for extra "wow!", but it is not necessary so please do not expect to receive more than the pencils. Do not send colored pencils or art pencils, because we hope to use these in school..

You are welcome to post with your favorite color, if the pencils are for a boy or girl, or what you wish NOT to receive. But, please give your swap partner freedom to use their judgment and do not expect to receive an exact request.

This swap is open to anyone who has completed at least one mail swap (not email), has a score of 4.8 or higher, and has no recent "no sends".

We're going international, because my kids love international pencils and they do not weigh much. :)

Pencils mail best in rigid envelopes or tubes, and/or rubber banded together. This will help prevent breakage.

If you have any questions, post or message me.

what is a number 2 pencil???? here in australia we have 2B, HB, 2H,etc. would it be a 2B? maybe i should stay out of this swap but it would be fun. my problemis if i joined and sent my pencils but they werent what you call number 2 then my contribution to the swap wouldnt be valid.

I'm from Finland and also wondering, what a number 2 pencil is? I never even knew there were different kinds... :-)

I would love to join but I am new. My kids would love this.

"Number 2" is what grade the pencil is. "number 2" in the US is the same as HB worldwide, but I think most pencils are this grade unless they are intended for art use.

So, please come join us. If your pencil does not say it is something other than no. 2 or HB, then it will be fine.

Thanks for letting me join. My daughter is very excited. Her and her brother are already picking out "special" pencils to put in the package. It's nice to see them do something other then argue for a change :-)

I, also, have no special requests. I'm an elementary music teacher and am very excited to see what kind of special pencils I'll be sent! :)
