(more experienced APC swappers are welcome as well, but don't expect high quality items)

What's an APC? (from swap-bot help page)

APC - Altered playing card, like an ATC except that you use a poker sized playing card(2-1/2″ x 3-1/2″), as the base. The only other rule in making APCs is that you must leave one of the corner numbers and suit visible.

ATC - Artist trading cards (ATCs) are miniature pieces of art that are traded around the world. Artists create, trade and collect art at organized “swap” events or through the mail, in person or online. The only official rule for ATCs is the size: 2.5″ x 3.5″. As a general rule, swaps are open to any media, materials or techniques as long as the card fits into a standard trading card sleeve. ATCs are traded, not sold. You may find that individual swaps on Swap Bot have rules as to how the ATC should be created for that particular swap. Each one is different, so make sure you read the swap description carefully before signing up. There are some artists who choose to sell cards. Cards that are sold are called Art Card Editions and Originals (ACEO) and are often found directly on the artist’s site or on EBay. (Info Link: Strathmore Artist Trading Cards.)

Theme for this swap is senders choice. (But feel free to check your partners profile for likes/dislikes) You will make one card, for one person.

You must have a minimum rating of 4.7 to join this swap.

I want to try this, but playing cards here have other measurements than ATCs.

Playingcards here have different sizes, I think whats important is that we use a playing card, and don't think so much of the size. We are unexperienced in making APC's, so this is mostly for practice, so I don't think the size of the card should stop us.

It would be awesome to have a whole deck of APC's! There was one swap going on for each of the suits, but only clubs is still open (last day to join is tomorrow). http://www.swap-bot.com/swap/show/40760 if anyone is interested.

I'm going away for the weekend, so I changed the signup date to the 11th. Hope thats ok.

I have a question I haven't seen answer anywhere. When I make ATC's, I stamp and fill in the information about the ATC on the back. On an APC, to we leave the back naked, or do we cover that as well, or can we just put a self-made sticker on the back giving details about the piece?

Thanks!
