Description:

Thank you to @voodooninja for allowing me to use his swap idea! He put it better than I could, so in his words:

This swap will be a scavenger hunt. What are we looking for? I don't know. It all depends on how many people join this swap, and who they are.

When you join this swap, you must post something that everyone must send for the hunt in the comments below. Make it something fun, but not too specific or expensive. Coordinator reserves the right to dub your item too specific or expensive and request you post something else.

The final list will be created once the sign up deadline is over. Once the list is dubbed final, you must find all the (nice, not junky) items and send them to your partner. Since people may sign up and then drop (and therefore their item would be dropped off the list), it might not be advisable to start until after partners are assigned, but that's up to you.

Hopefully, a lot of people will sign up so that we can have a great swap! If four or fewer people join, I'll ask that everyone come up with an additional idea so that we don't end up having a sucky swap.

Please remember to send the type of thing that you would love to receive and to label each item so that your partner knows what it's for.

What you will send is:

  • Something with a cat smile.
  • Something animal.
  • Something amusing.
  • Something from a magazine or pamphlet that gives a tutorial for a craft.
  • Something to eat or drink.
  • Something to write on.
  • Something made from paper that is folded.
  • Something to fill.

Remember to label everything so that your partner knows what item is what!

Have fun. :-)

Oooh, I saw this one and really wanted to join, but didn't for some reason :)

I'll choose... something to fill.

ChinaCat 01/21/2010 #

I choose...something to eat!

wytch6 01/22/2010 #

I choose...something from a magazine/pamphlet that gives a tutorial for a craft.

ellie1200 01/23/2010 #

Something amusing.

smokeyquartz1980 01/23/2010 #

can wytch6's idea be a photocopy from a mag? I have a hard time ripping out pages.

TheFallenAngel 01/24/2010 #

I think that a photocopy would be just fine... that way the magazine can still be donated.

wytch6 01/25/2010 #

TFA - by something to fill, do you mean like a bottle or a journal or a bathtub?

TheFallenAngel 01/25/2010 #

Wytch, it's up for interpretation. If you can fit a bathtub in the mail... ::grins:: Anything that you fill with something else works. Maybe I should have said "something that is filled with something else" to make it more of a challenge... hm... can I change my choice? Heh.

DebP 01/26/2010 #

Ack. I can't do this one. My studio is still all tore apart and in boxes so I can't get to anything. Maybe we can do it again?

colleenp 01/26/2010 #

something animal.

wytch6 01/27/2010 #

I have started getting goodies together, LOL the Real Child brought me something from her holiday in Mozambique that is perfect.

loricritt 01/27/2010 #

Something with a cat smile.

ChinaCat 01/29/2010 #

Maybe it's too late to add this, but I wanted to include the option of "something to drink" along with my "something to eat" in case some people really, really like coffee, tea or hot chocolate. Either/or would be fine. Or both! =) Just kidding...either/or will do.
