Description:

Calling all paper crafters! Wanna mix things up? Let's have a paper party! This is going to be a multi-partner swap, like a singles mixer for crafters. :)

Everyone will get 4 partners, and send 1 envelope full of fun papers for crafting and artwork to each. (A total of 4 envelopes.) Store-bought, handmade, or "found" papers are all acceptable, but please nothing dirty or excessively wrinkled/torn. No crap! Must be usable in paper crafting.

Minimum envelope size is standard business size (4 1/8" by 9 1/2", about 10.5cm by 24cm), close to a full ounce. There is no maximum size - if you'd like to pare down your stash a bit, feel free to go bigger!

When sending, take a look at each partner's profile and try to tailor their envelope to their preferences. You can make educated guesses, but try to stick to their listed "likes" and definitely avoid sending any specified "dislikes".

Participants must have a filled-out profile to play, particularly with some sort of indication on paper preferences (type, color, etc). Anyone without this info added by the sign-up date will be banned. I'm sorry to say that, it's nothing personal but this is the first swap I'm hosting and I want everything to go smoothly. If you have questions about how to add this info, feel free to ask me.

Possible papers you could include:

  • Scrapbook papers
  • Origami papers
  • Old calendar pages
  • Handmade paper
  • Hand-painted paper
  • Other hand-decorated papers
  • Wrapping paper
  • Patterned tissue paper
  • Printed paper napkins (serviettes)
  • Ephemera (game cards, ticket stubs, etc)
  • Book pages
  • Maps
  • The inside of security envelopes
  • Magazine or catalog images/pages

Don't send all the same kind of paper, get some variety in there! That's what this is all about. :)

This is a paper-only swap; stickers, chipboard, fabric, etc do not count - but it's ok to include a little of this as an extra if you think your partner can use it.

This is an INTERNATIONAL swap, be prepared to send to other countries. If there is enough interest I can make a USA-only one, but since the idea is to get a variety of papers I wanted to open it up worwide.

Newbies with well filled-ot profiles are welcome, no one with a rating less than 4.5 please.

I am gathering papers already and am totally excited about this swap.I am a print maker and I have tons of paper that may be of interest to those in this swap. I have some heavy papers where I inked lacy doilies and printed on the paper through the press. They are gorgeous.

I just want to say that I'm new to swap-bot, but have swapped a good number of times elsewhere, and am so excited to have found this site, and this particular swap! I was literally just days ago wishing I had other artistic friends with whom I could organize such a thing. Thank you Betsi!

For folks that don't have a huge paper stash, I have a decorative paper swap similar to this with only one partner to send to, and requires that you use only one stamp.
