Description:

:) Love getting letters, This is an easy swap, you will have 5 partners you will send 5 letters too. Get to use all that fancy letter paper you have been getting :) Here is the catch you have to include the following in your letter:

  1. Introduce yourself, where you live, and how old you are, and who you live with.

  2. Your favorite thing about where you live.

  3. Your favorite local food.

  4. What you see when you look out your window.

  5. An average day for you.

  6. One thing you would change about your country if you could.

  7. And your goals for the next five years.

You must hand write each letter no typing so write or print neatly

  • These are pretty generic letters so you write them before you get your partners if you like.

  • You can add stickers or pics or something from home if you are aiming for hearts but not required.

  • Open international, newbies welcome with filled profiles, e-mail me if you have no-sends in the last month.

Happy Swapping.

I love writing to all my penpals, but this is neat 'cause there's "rules" to follow. Makes it a little different than your average letter.

It will cost $2.05 for standard first class postage (USPS) to send 5 letters using 1 or 2 sheets of paper. If you add anything to make your letter not fit through their sorting machines it will cost an extra 13cents per letter. To mail out of country will vary.
I thought I would let everyone know this info, as I have been spending waaaay too much at the post office from swapping. Don't get me wrong, I love to swap... but the postage will get you overwhelmed if you aren't careful.

Hi All, I would love to join this swap, but don't want to handwrite 5 letters. My handwriting is awful, so it would very hard for me to stay neat for 5 letters. I've already writen a very long letter that I could send, but would it be against the rules if I photocopy the handwritten letter and send photocopies? If that will be OK, I will join, otherwise I don't know if I will have the time and energy to copy the letter 4 more times. Cindy

What if the letters are computer generated using cool fonts/designs with neato backgrounds, graphics, etc. and font colors other than black? Would that be OK? Maybe add some hand embellishing using little drawings, squiggles, etc.

I agree, to handwrite 5 letters is a lot of work, though it is more personal that way.

Wow! It has been a long time since I sat down and wrote a letter. But 5- I just wanted to let you all know that this has made me rethink about who I am and not just what I do and who I do it for. As each letter went on-it was easier to open up. Thanks for getting to know me. It would be nice to keep up with each of you if you wish...Kim

I just wanted to say that I may be mailing a day late as I am having some health issues. I apologize.

i wrote my pen pals letters before i knew who they were. i just wrote what the rules said and added a few personal details and i wrote one letter per day or every other day. it's not so hard that way.

I wrote my letters before knowing who I was sending them to as well :)

I sent mine out on Monday but it seems likwe Swap Bot haven't acknowledged the fact that I have, even though it shows on my 'list swaps' that I have... so frustrating!
