Description:

This swap was inspired by Yooperhill, who is running a US only version, thanks for allowing me to do an Europe Only one! You can find Yooperhills US swap here

For this swap you shall buy 24 little gifts and one bigger gift for your partner. We aren't looking for expense here, we are looking for thought. The items don't have to cost much, and can even be handmade, but please make sure they are nice clean things that your partner will like (don't send make up if they say they don't wear it etc)

When you have bought they presents you shall wrap them up individually, and label them 1 to 24, with the larger one being Christmas Day.

When you receive your package, you will not open the gifts until December, with one being opened every day until Christmas Day. You should open the gift with the correct number on it each day.

Because of the nature of this swap I will be strict with ratings and you must have

  • 20 POSTAL ratings, online and email swaps do not count for this one
  • A rating of at least 4.8
  • No '1' ratings within the last 3 months
  • No Newbies

If you want to join this swap, but don't yet have the requirements feel free to sign up now, and work on them until the sign up date.

I also reserve the right to ban anybody I feel maybe suspicious and not serious about swapping. Please ensure you have a filled out profile to help people shop for your presents.

We shall send out or packages before 1st November, because we want everybody to get their presents in time for December!

When you say things can be handmade, can they be as simple as a bookmark or a magnet? Love the idea of this one but I don't want to over-commit financially!

Would it be possible to have the swap made for my son instead of sending things to me?? He's 2 years old soon (November 1st) and I love the idea.

Yes pootle the things can be as simple as a bookmark or magnet. This one isn't about the cost of the items, but the thought that goes into them. Lets say around the £20 mark in either bought or handmade things (please try for a mixture, not all handmade things :D)

Agnetha of course you can have it done for your son, just make sure you PM your partner when they have been assigned to make sure they are aware if they haven't read it here. What a great idea!

That's great!! Thanks!! I rather have him getting small things like this then myself :) I do spoil this kid :) But I don't feel bad about it....loving every second of it :)

I'm in then! and if my partner wants to sneak in one or two gifts for my little boy too I certainly won't complain!! He'll be 3 in November, although sometimes he acts like he's 13!

I would love to participate in this swap!!!.... but i dont think i can wait to open the presents one for each day until Xmas, lolololololololol... im too curious!!!!!

Do you think i can sign up even so?

ClareyFairy 09/ 6/2007 #

The idea of the swap is to open a little gift every day leading upto Christmas, and then a slightly bigger one on Christmas day. That way you get a little gift every day from your partner.

OMG I can't resist this one... :-) And I would also prefer a mixture for both me and my baby (he'll turn 1 year-old on November 13th)
