I love love love to swap journals but i hate to put all my hard work into one and then not get it back ... :( so for this swap this is how it will go... get a composition book or anything that you would like as long as it isnt very much smaller . with at least 100 pages! Put everything you have got into making it something you like! (decorating wise) Answer all 50 prompts.. a prompt a page... but heres the thing in between some of the prompts i will have a star () meaning you do what is indicated next to the star on the next page then you continue on with the prompts... when your partner recieves the journal they take the items and replace them with some from their own stash so you get new ones back. you send your journal to your partner. 5.rate the person who sent to you... read everything they put in the journal .... write them a letter on the page follwing where they ended. what you love most about them, what you find funny, sad, happy, anything.... must be longer than 3 pages YOU WILL ALL HAVE 1 WEEK TO GET THE JOURNAL BACK TO IT OWNER!! SO THE SWAP IS TO BE MAILED OUT ON 11-30-2010 AND YOU HAVE TO MAIL THE ONE YOU GOT BACK WITH IN ONE WEEK OF RECIEVING IT :) then you make one page of pictures like a collage of you and your family.. send them their journal back so they can read what you wrote about them and see who has read all about you! :) so you get your journal back yeah!!!! and it full of fun things!!!! :) PROMPTS: tell us about yourself Describe a dream that you had recently. Provide as many details as possible. one page of pictures of you or you and your family Tell five things you'd like to do on your next birthday. In 20 years, I will be... Tell about an event in your life that has caused a change in you. I was most angry when... If you could design one room in a house to suit only your needs, what would it look like? decorate one page of all things that are your favorite color! Do you believe in love at first sight? You have the freedom to travel to any city or country in the world. Where would you go and why? You have an extra $100,000 to give away; you cannot spend it on yourself. What would you do with the money? The qualities that make a best friend are... any clippings from your local news paper If you were an insect, what kind would you be and why? Describe your room at home in detail. What are you proudest of and why? What is something you dislike about yourself? What is something you do well? What is your favourite room in your home and why? What would happen if there were no television? Why would this be good? bad? a picture of something random in your house and talk about why you picked that... What do you think about ghosts? What do you think makes a good friend? What do you think makes a happy family? What do you like most about yourself? What do you like to do in your free time? tape a ziplock bag to this page, put a piece of paper inside to you cant see whats in the bag. then put some small items in . EX: buttons, stickers, brads etc What kind of animal would you like to be and why? What kind of trophy would you like to win? What TV or movie star would you like to invite to your birthday party? What is more important to you, appearance or personality? What is most important to you in a friend--loyalty, generosity, honesty--why? What would you do to entertain your family without spending any money? What kind of t.v. commercial would you like to make? Describe it. What kind of pet would you most like to have--monkey, snake, goat--why? take a magazine and use different letters from it to write a small note (ransom note lol but nice) What kind of program do you enjoy most on TV--detective shows, comedies, game shows--and why? What three words would describe you right now? What four things are most important in your life? How do you feel on the first day of winter? Why? I wish I had a million... Then I would... I wish I had one more chance to..... Then I would..... I wish there was an electric...... I wish I had enough money to..... handmake or put a unique envelope on this page a put a few notcards with envelopes in in :) I wish everyone loved...... I wish all children would...... I wish everyone had..... I wish I could touch...... I wish I looked like.... because...... I wish there were no more..... I wish I didn't have to..... I wish I could go to..... I wish there really was..... If there really was, then..... *tape an envelope here and put a PC from your city or state in it un- written on I wish I could hear...... I wish I could give...... some of the stars didnt come out they came out as solid black dots but they are stars :) thanks

Is the swap out date really Oct. 30? With so many prompts to answer I would think it would be a little further out. That way we can put a lot more effort into it. Hope you don't think I 'm trying to tell you what to do...just a thought. :)

Love this journal swap but I know me and I wouldn't get it done on time) Hopefully you will do another one and give at least a month to get it done!! Awesome prompts and love the concept..

I have a collection of journals, and they are all a bit smaller than the recommended size, but I like this particular journal size/company that makes them... since it ends up being returned to me anyways is this acceptable to use for this swap?

@cherryarch yes i would say that is ok as long as its not much much smaller lol but when partners are given i would just send them a little message you know what ill change it in the swap lol :)

@kraftykj i will after this one is done :) i will make a new one :) for month of work

I really like this swap idea, I LOVE journaling. But I feel like the time allowed isn't enough for the amount of prompts and work there is to go into it. If it was a month or more I would totally join. :(

Have been really feeling that I need to record things about myself, so that my children and future generation will know me from the inside. I always wish I had these kind of thoughts from the inside of my mother's head...so thanks for hosting this swap!

@CraftyJo anything that has a star that you can remove for example the ransom not stays and the stuff in the bag you trade out or the PC or notecards in the envelopes you trade out :) any more questions feel free to ask :) thank you all :)

I love this idea, but I'm not comfortable with the idea that you have to send it back by December sixth. If someone far away from me sends me a swap it could easily take two weeks to receive. I might not even get it until after the sixth!

Could you maybe change that requirement to "you have one week to send the journal back to your partner from the day you receive"? Or something like that?

i love it.its a big committment but i have been making atcs for what seems like months now...and i am all out of empty boxes.i cant wait to journal till i go to madness.thanks for this awesome swap!

omg guys the journal is really coming together...lol i find myself spending more than two pages on a question,its kind of a private issue... because journaling is about the revealing to self and reader..but i am super stoked!!! i cant wait..at all!!!
