The Day of the Dead (El DÃa de los Muertos in Spanish) is a Mexican and Mexican-American celebration of deceased ancestors which occurs on November 1 and November 2, coinciding with the similar Roman Catholic celebrations of All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day. Sugar skulls are given and eaten for the Day of the Dead. The souls of children are believed to return first on November 1, with adult spirits following on November 2. A common symbol of the holiday is the skull, which celebrants represent in masks called calacas. Sugar skulls, inscribed with the names of the deceased on the forehead, are often eaten by a relative or friend. (all info found at CardFountain)
THE NITTY GRITTY! NEWBIES MUST MESSAGE ME FIRST (under 5 swaps) NO recent 1's or 3's, NO FLAKERS! i have the right to ban anyone fishy. i'm not trying to be a nazi, but i have had at least one flaker in each of my past 3 swaps. it's my job to be a good host.
alrighty, now that the not so fun stuff is out of the way...
you can draw your own sugar skull or find a sweet pattern! have fun with it and make sure it's something you'd like to receive :)
