Description:

Here is the swap...

Take a Christmas stocking, it can be handmade or a bought one (size= normal, about 12 inches high), make sure its in good condition. No raggedy or shabby stockings please!

And stuff it with things you like to get in your own christmas stocking, example: small toy or stuffed animal, candy cane, lipbalms, samples, hand soap, stick of gum, pens, note paper, mini notepads, lotions, magnets, stickers, teabags, hair accessories, compacts, etc. you can even stick in a penpal letter to your partner in there.

To keep it simple, this swap is not profile-based. The package should be worth about 10 U$ (not including postage).

And mail! It's that simple.

A few rules:

Do: Use items from your stash as long as they are wrapped, clean, not expired, not stained, not torn. Also if any of you have an esty or online store, you can include your business cards as well.

Do not: send trash! no wrappers, no used cosmetics, no shredded paper, old receipts, ticket stubs.

Do remember: Candy/edibles/ cosmetics/hygiene items--make sure this is new! You can send a piece of candy or stick of gum but make sure it is wrapped.

Thanks and happy swapping!

If you receive a stuffed stocking, rate a 5. If you cant use the items, please feel free to re-swap. Lets keep it happy, people!

Newbies are welcome, flakers are not.

I will update if more questions come along I did not think of...

Happy swapping!

Can I just confirm, we wrap the items and place them in stocking? Right?

Brendasue 11/ 7/2010 #

@ teemnis: I hadn't thought of that, you can wrap them if you want. But I'm thinking those who might have to send international, every piece of paper counts and makes the package more expensive. So you can put the items into the stocking and wrap that, then put it into a large envelope or package to send.

That's better. Thanks. :)

Is it ok to put handmade items in the stocking?

Brendasue 11/10/2010 #

Handmade items are awesome! Go right ahead!
