Description:

Remember swapping cards with classmates in gradeschool? That's the idea here. FB is great and all, but receiving personal snail mail is still pretty darn fun.

Swap requirements include:

-Must send via snail mail, even if you live in the same community.

-Send a Valentine's themed greeting that your grandmother would not be offended by (while joke cards are just fine, please no sexual content).

-Senders choice (meaning that sender gets to make a card they find appealing, without restrictions such as trying to make sure they use the receiver's favorite color, etc.)

-It's quite possible those who are married, dating might join--this is a wild card swap, meaning whoever we are assigned to swap with, that's who we send to. I won't be able to change that, but I'm pretty sure if you are married and dating, you already have the option to personally deliver a Valentine greeting to your sweetie!

What is allowed:

-Handmade or storebought cards

If you handmake the card, please push beyond the cut out construction paper heart and put a little more time into it. Collage, drawing, painting, using a combination of text and images are all welcome--don't limit yourself, fabric, excessive use of glitter or sequins are perfectly fine too.

All handmade efforts will be cheered--but I wanted to make sure people don't do their least effort work or as an after thought. Do your best and it will be appreciated.

If you would like to add some stickers, a pressed dried flower or leaf, small piece of fabric or lace, confetti or other small "extras" that is just fine.

Start making (or buying) that card now, and by February 1, swap-bot will assign the swap partners.

Here is the important part: mail deadline will be February 5. The swap-bot interface will send out a reminder. That is the date your card must be in the mail so that it will be received by February 14.

If you have questions, please PM me.
