Description:

Hi, this is the first swap I've hosted so I hope you all enjoy it :)

For this swap you will be sending one set of matchbox drawers to one partner.

You will have two weeks to complete this swap!

Please use at least four 32-count sized matchboxes, but feel free to use more if you want!

You can also make the matchboxes yourself, there is a great tutorial on the swap-bot blog! http://blog.swap-bot.com/rachels-matchbox-template/ edit As mentioned in the comments, please use heavy cardstock, or cardboard if making them yourself. They need to stand up to the perils of shipping.

Feel free to cover them how you want; paint, fabric, scrapbooking paper but please make them pretty, and something you would be willing to receive!

Once you have 'pretty-fied' the boxes fill them with things like ribbon, buttons, lace, stamps, erasers, fabric, paper, stickers, brads, charms, good-sized beads, a little note, scrapbooking embellishments, even little pin cushions, the possibilities are endless! Please fill them as much as you can, it won't take too much :)

Please take the time to look at your partners profile and see what they like, and what there hobbies are.

Feel free to leave a comment here telling us your favourite colour, and your hobbies. If there is anything I need to edit, just let me know!

Newbies welcome with a very well filled out profile :) We have all been there. No one under a 4.5 rating No recent ones or threes, but contact me if you think they were unfairly given and I'll look into it. I don't want to ban, but I will be checking profiles. I will angel if I have to, but I hope I don't need to because shipping from NZ is very expensive!!!

If you do choose to make your own matchboxes using the template, please don't use paper! Use really heavy cardstock or even cereal box cardboard. I got a paper done in the mail once, which ended up being a very flat bit of trash in an envelope full of little beads and things. ...and here's a clicky link to the template:

Hi. What do you think would be the best way to mail these?

FluffyButtons 06/ 3/2011 #

Thank you for the link twobluecrows :)

Um, I would think bubble wrap and maybe in a small cardboard box, I'll do a bit of research and get back to you.

i put mine in a box and recycle the bubbles from amazon and they get there unharmed the flat rate boxes are really good :) i put a lot of work in to my projects and would be really sad if my partner opened it up and it was crushed or mushed i want them to open it and be just as excited about getting it as i was about making it :) hope that helps
