I am a NEWLYWED!! That's my biggest news!! Well, I've only been married for 7 months so I figure until we reach the year mark I'm a newlywed!

I stumbled across "swaps" on Flickr. I LOVE this idea. I love to give gifts and fun little doodads. The idea of trading things I find interesting with someone from across the country intrigues me.

I love them one and all. They are my friends. My human friends make fun of me and like to remind me that books can't hug, but I think they are wrong!

A few of my favorite authors are Jane Austen, James Patterson, Sophia Kinsella, Marian Keys, and Nicholas Sparks.

I have recently gotten into baking, cupcakes specifically. I have never been a baker but am loving learning how to do it. I am slowly, but surely buying all sorts of things for decorating cupcakes, cupcake recipes, etc.

I am taking over my grandmother's old sewing machine and plan on teaching myself to sew. I actually took one of those home ec. classes in junior high and sewed pretty well so let's see if I can pick it up again! My first goal is to make an apron.

I love music! I can hear a song and it will take me right back to a time in my life and I will remember how old I was, what I was doing and how I felt. I love the soundtrack of my life. I listen to everything from country, pop, R&B, etc. A few favorite artists: Dave Matthews Band, Chrisette Michele, Michelle Featherstone, Van Morrison, Kelly Clarkson, Brad Paisley, Josh Groban, Fergie, Coldplay, Carrie Underwood, and the list goes on. . . .

I love Mary Engelbreit! I have decorated my entire kitchen in her. I love the cheery primary colors.

I am a huge wine drinker. My hubby and enjoy many bottles of wine together. Merlot is our favorite.

Candles are a life staple. My house always smells good. I hate for things to be stinky.

I'm a neat freak! I love to be organized and I get wild hairs and will spend days going through stuff and organizing.

I'm working towards getting my house in that shabby chic style. I love the vintage look.

I love anything vintage and retro.

I'm not a scrapbooker but I am interested in DIGITAL scrapbooking.

I have recently started sewing and am really loving it. I'm making aprons right now and having a blast doing it!
