Just a quick note about what is going on with me. I am getting ready to fly to Nashville to see my daughter who transfered there in Dec. with her job... I miss her so much Then in June DH and I are driving to Florida for my oldest son's wedding. I will get to visit with my BFF and I can hardly waitl. Signing up for some swaps and will do more in April and May! Dotees Rule. I love making them.
Hope everyond is having a good year so far.
Rye Rye, you are just awesome and
I have come to the conclusion that life is just crazy and I should stop fighting it and hop on the crazy train and ride along with every one else.
Getting geared up to have hip replacement surgery . From what everyone tells me this is well worth it.... Have the right one done first then in 6 months have the left one done.
I have cut back a little on swapbot... but I really need to get my butt in gear and do more. My regrouping is done and It is still out of order so I give up... I will just accept the fact that me and my life are presented with continuing episodes So tune in tomorrow for the crazy saga of my life.. LOL By the way my RAK's continue to bring a smile to my face and to others. I have not been out in the general public much... staying at home and dealing with some remodeling... but I have been continuing my goal to do as many RAK's as I can. Try it if you haven't ever done it .. It's wonderful
I still have a few swaps going and I will get more listed when I get back.
Just need to catch my breath from all that is going on in my life right now.
Thanks for your understanding
Big SwapBot hugs to all of you.
My Goal this year is to do at least three RAKs a week for strangers I meet when I am out of the house. I have already been able to do two this week and have a 3rd one planned for this afternoon! What a great feeling it is to put a smile on someone's face. Yesterday it was as easy as giving someone a postage stamp because the post office windows were already closed.
As of this date 3/10/2011 my RAKs are working out just the way I expected them too. It feels so good when a person smiles at you and you know you made their day. My brother and sister got on the RAK wagon and are enjoying it as much as I am.
I am still fighting health issues. But Swapbot should be bottled and sold as the best medicine on the market. It really keeps my mind off the pain and truly helps with the depression.
I have met (on line) some of the most wonderful people in the world via Swapbot. I feel like I have some really great new friends. I love it. A special thank you to all those in my "Relationship" box.
Sometimes I get a little disorganized and if I have neglected to thank you for something I am so sorry. I truly, truly love an appreciate everything I get in the mail.
IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY, JOIN A GROUP! YOU REALLY GET TO KNOW HOW SPECIAL THE OTHER SWAPPERS ARE BY BEING IN A GROUP WITH THEM. GROUPS ARE FUN AND SUPPORTIVE.
CAN YOU BELIEVE ALL THE CREATIVE, AWESOME CRAFTERS OUT THERE... SOMETIMES IT IS HARD FOR ME TO BELIEVE THAT PEOPLE ARE SO KIND AND SO TALENTED. PAT YOURSELF ON THE BACK AS YOU ARE ALL SUCH SPECIAL FOLKS!
[![Happy swap-botters RAK]

Now more about me. Just for filler information Due to health issues, I spend much time at home. Mostly alone as DH works and is gone 8-10 hours a day. Beside Swap-Bot I have my wonderful Dogs to keep me busy as we raise Basset Hounds. Currently we have 9 spoiled Hounds. Raising dogs had been a dream of mine since I was a child. So after retiering from the State of Florida, as a social worker, We moved to SC and I love it here. We purchased a 6 acre homesite and started our kennel. We only do a few litters a year and usually have a waiting list for our beautiful pups. I have been married for 36 years and have three great, awesome kids.... all out on there own. I only have one Grandchild, Bryanna and she lives in the state of Washington so I don't get to see her very often. She is now 15 and is 5' 9" tall. Her Dad is 6'8" so I think she is going to be like him. I have three Step GrandKids also. John, Kelsie and Trent. They are such wonderful kids and I love having them around. But again they do not live in SC so I don't get to see them as much as I would like. I live a very simple life. I enjoy just watching the dogs play or a bird taking a bath in the bird bath. The Fall is my favorite time of year.It is a time to take stock in one's self and harvest the joys of life. I really do miss working. But my co workers use to tease me and tell me I would have to retire at 20 to finish all the craft projects I started before I die. If they only knew LOL Again, I have met so many special people in this group I feel like I have another family out there. It is great to be part of something so positive.
I I HAVE NEVER FLAKED ON A SWAP SO IF YOU DO NOT GET ONE FROM ME PLEASE LET ME KNOW BEFORE YOU RATE. I RATE ON EFFORT. IF YOU PUT SOME EFFORT INTO YOUR SWAPS IT SHOWS AND THAT'S WHAT I RATE ON..I DON'T GIVE 3s AS I KNOW LIFE CAN GET IN THE WAY, AND EVEN THO I HAVE BEEN FLAKED ON THREE SWAPS I HAVE ONLY GIVEN ONE 1.
I live in a smoke free home, but I do have three dogs in the house. Dog hair is an accessory around here, but I try to be very careful it is not on any of my crafts that I send out.

I
I found a quote by Herman Melville:
WE CANNOT LIVE ONLY FOR OURSELVES. A THOUSAND FIBERS CONNECT US WITH OUR FELLOW MEN; AND AMONG THOSE FIBERS, AS SYMPATHETIC THREADS OUR ACTIONS RUN AS CAUSES AND THEY COME BACK TO US AS EFFECTS...
and another favorite quote by Casare Pavese:
WE DO NOT REMEMBER DAYS, WE REMEM BER MOMENTS.
and my favorite is by Mother Teresa:
Let us not be satisfied with just giving money. money is not enough, money can be got, but they need your hearts to love them. So, spread your love everywhere you go.
I have had Fybromialgia since 1991. It has gotten worse over the years and I find it hard to cope with at times. I also have early stage Parkinson's. Sometimes I have very bad tremors... I hope it don't show in my craft work. I am supported by my wonderful husband and get lots of help from my beautiful daughter, Amber. If you have Fybro and would like to talk just e-mail me.
I have few. I can not stand abuse. People or Animal I don't like two faced/false people and really don't like ignorance. I believe in mother earth and that we need to take care of her. I believe in God and Miracles! And I strongly believe that every one has a right to believe in what they want. I believe in America and the freedom it stands for. I don't believe in the war, but support our service men and women. I don't like people that are mean or that are always causing DRAMA... Had enough drama in my life to last a lifetime.
