About Me

Hello there. My name is Beth (but some call me Biff) I am 31 & have two wonderful boys, well three really if you count the hubby aswell! If I had to use one word here to tell you all about me it would be 'creative'!

Sewing is my main crafty passion & although I can turn my hand to most, it's sewing that I spend my time with & is the inpsiration for most of my purchases... I love collecting buttons, cotton fabrics, craft books, magazines, sewing patterns and adore dots & spots...

As well as buttons, I also have a passion for large beads, beaded necklaces, bangles, light scraves/neck ties & tortoise shell type hair clips! (I like to accessorize)

I like nice plain sensible socks in dull/mutted autumnal colours... Infact I like most things plain and simple. You wouldn't see me sporting a huge motif or cute cartoon image. (my hubby says I dress like an old lady)

As for colours at the moment I seem to be wearing lots of ink or orche shades!

I do like pattern though - very much - I tend to go for simple ones. As mentioned spots & dots or leaf/nature type designs are good.

I enjoy blog watching & envy crafty people with sleek organized homes, that not only indulge themeslves in a variety of creative activites but also live in what looks like a set from country living magazine, bake their own bread & still have time to raise five wonderful children!

I love sewing & sewing related stuff. I make lots of bags, purses, quilts, aprons and useful stuff, but have also gone through a small stuff felt bird phase too - depends on the time of year & what's needed...

Things I don't really like are: -Domestic animals (who decided animals were domestic anyway?) -nail polish -socks with toes like foot gloves! (so not comfy) -herbal tea -glittery/sparkly stuff! -smellies/candles/creams/perfume/inscene -kawaii

Comment: I loved the bird! It was really fantastic! The little flower is so very cute! I do think the safety pin back is better since they are so much easier to get a hold of, but the brooch back looked like it was easier to sew on. Thank you so much for them both!

Comment: Technically, I didn't get a hand made Christmas card, so you didn't meet the swap requirements....but I am rating a 5 because I love my bag so much. Really great fabric, quality cotton that is hard (if not impossible) to get in the states. Thank you so much!
Response: I was so worried this wouldn't arrive in time for Christmas! Better early, rather than late, I figured, but fancy opening it so soon! What will santa say? So glad you liked the bag (it's kaffe Fasset fabric) & so sorry as I hadn't realised it was meant to be a homemade card! I've made so many aswell I just read your profile & saw you had a dog & thought you might like a dog card! Oh well never mind, I should have doubled checked before posting - you like the bag & that's the main thing, so good.

I know that you're crafting for me in the swap because I'm a huge cheater and I always check the "rate your coordinator and partner" link to see who's sending to me. :) BTW, if you should need to know clothing size, Delma is already fitting into 18-24month stuff (at 14 months!).
