Hi! My name is Lore and I live in Maryland. I am a stay at home mom. I have 4 amazing children that are the light of my world. Two of our children we will having the pleasure of adopting in November 2011. We are excitedly counting down the days.*Update 11/17/11 We finalized our adoption today!!!!
As a family we love to hike, camp and geocache. I guess you could say we like to be outdoors :)
We are a very religious Christian family. Please no anti-Christian items. (If sending religious items please note we are not Catholic)
I love to sew, paint, stamp, sticker, glitter...you name it, I love it!
I have been scrapbooking for over 10 years and I love looking back and seeing how my style has evolved. I also enjoy paper crafting.
Lately I have started sewing and quilting a lot more. I am currently making quilts for my children. I also have started knitting. I made my son a very simple blanket and he loves it.
I can always use :
dolls (clothespin, dotee, stuffies) and supplies,
pretty or interesting beads,
glitter and glitter glue,
copic markers,
sequins,
jewels,
gel pens,
ATCs,
and deco tape
My kids love mail!!! Here is a little info on them. Any goodies sent for them is greatly appreciated!
Mikey is 6 and loves books! He can not read yet but he makes up stories based on the pictures. He also likes all little boy stuff: trains, cars, bugs, ect. Mikey plays on an adaptive soccer and baseball league. Mikey has been diagnosed with pervasive developmental disorder (not otherwise specified) and a chromosomal abnormality. Every day he simply amazes me. He has come so far in such a short time and I am sure he will continue to grow. He is currently a size 7/8, shoe size 12/13 (fall 2011).
Luke is 5. He is such a live wire. He is into everything and is a true daredevil. Luke loves to color and paint. He loves balls and really has a good arm on him. His current passion is Toy Story. His favorite Woody. He is currently a size 5, shoe size 9/10(fall2011).
Jim is 13 and a typical boy.He is in boyscouts and loves building and unbuilding things. He loves trains, cars and tractor trailors. He reads every book and magazine he can find on them. He also love the history channel and loves to read about history, locations and technology. This year he will be learning how to play the trumpet. He is currently a size 10, shoe size mens 7(fall 2011).
Sarah is 9 and a total princess/girlie girl. She loves cheerleading and is part of an all star cheer squad. Their colors are red and black. She loves anything girly and sparkly. She likes nailpolish, hair things, knee high socks and clothes. She is currently a size 8, shoe size 5/6 women (summer 2011).
We enjoy reading! We love Eric Crale, Dr. Suess, Jan Brett, Jan & Stan Berenstain, Tomie dePaola and Mary Pope Osborne to name a few.
Our home is also full of pets. We have two dogs, Tyco and Chance ,two cats, Mittens and Patches, two hamsters, Rhino and Furball, and we have a turtle named Tuck.
WE HAVE A NUT ALLERGY IN OUR HOUSE!!!! peanuts and peanut butter are ok other nuts are not!!!!Please label anything you think may have nuts!!! Thank you
We love candy! With four kids I guess that was easy to figure out. International foods are a hugh hit with the kids (and myself!). We love milk and dark chocolate, gummies, chips, pretzels, sweet, sour, caramels, novelty candies, peanut butter cups, candy bars, lollipops and so on and so on......
I love tea and hot chocolate but I am not a fan of earl grey or plain green tea.
I can always use bright kid friendly prints. I am not a fan of muddy dull colors. I do like browns just not dull muted ones. My favorite color is red.
I can always use floss and threads in any colors.
Buttons, zippers and sewing notions are all welcomed.
I am always looking for doll, purse, apron, quilt, toy and other interesting patterns. * For Christmas my daughter received an American Girl doll. I would love clothes patterns :)
I am still new to knitting so any supplies and patterns would make my day. I like soft, natural fibers. Blends are ok as long as the yarn is still soft.
Both my daughter and I use make up. I use medium light foundation and mainly pinks and browns for eyeshadow. I like natural color lipsticks and glosses. My daughter uses silver and black eyeshadow for cheerleading. She also uses bright red lipstick. She loves lip smackers. We both use black eye liner and mascara. Glittery make up is always a hit.
