I am single thirty-something, mother to a big furry four pawed baby (dog) named Bubba. Love my puppy. Thus the Bubbalover user name. (Named after a character in the Charlaine Harris, Sookie books) About me and swaps: I like to make stuff so if I am sending to you, you are probably going to get something handmade from me. If it's for several items then most of them will be handmade. (If you are sending to me and do this too - Yay ! lucky me) I READ PROFILES. No matter what the swap I always wait for my partner assignment before I make anything. I want whoever I send to, to feel like they just got a gift made just for them!
If I won the lottery I would still work - NOT! People who say that are crazy. Okay maybe they have a calling, but I have a job and I'd be gone in a heartbeat. I'd spend everyday hiking, laying on my porch reading, making crafts and swapping!! Maybe I should go buy a lottery ticket.
I was going to say I love all kinds except country, but then I was reading another profile and realized I do like country rock. So maybe everything but twangy country music. Or maybe I just don't know country.. hmmm.
Sci-fi fantasy (will read almost anything with vampires, dragons or shifters) preferably with strong female characters. ( I recommend the Cast in... series by Michelle Saraga, Urban Shaman series by c.e. Murphy, Mercy series by Patricia Briggs and Magic series by Ilona Andrews) Also like historical mysteries, got sick of all the forensic stuff after a while and there is very little of that in the historical ones. Have lots of bibliographies, mysteries and good non-fiction on the bookshelf but life is busy (darn day job) so I tend to reach for the fluff. And craft books of course. Okay not a book but love the stampington publications (magazines)
I love crafts and have done quite a few different types; sewing, embroidery, jewelry making, stained glass, stamping/paper crafts and pottery and love to find new things to try (and learn). I would love to craft all the time, but then it would be a job and not as much fun (for me anyway). Love to make (and get) crafts made from vintage finds.
THINGS HANDMADE BY YOU! Fabric (tho I have so much stash right now I don't know where I would put anymore, not that it's stops me from buying more): Alexander Henry, Free Sprit, Japanese imports, Asian motif fabric in general, Barkcloth (real thing or not), metallics in moderation, Retro. Vintage trims or fabric. Old maps (real or reprint) used is great too, maybe from a trip you took and don't need anymore or any from other/international countries. Would love to have some topographical or aeronautical maps - again used okay. Stuff with foreign (non-english) words. As a sugar addict I love all candy and chocolate, but please no sour stuff. Caffeine is wonderful (tea or coffee). I like most colors (blues and greens would probably be my favorites if I had to choose - think ocean colors) My home decor/design is modern and eclectic. Also like Charley Harper, redwork embroidery and Bubba loves (doggy) treats.
Love to receive anything with nature; plants, flowers, mushrooms, bugs, birds, all animals on land or in the ocean.
Love Mother Nature :) and I'm eco friendly so, I reuse and reuse and then reuse packaging. And while I like the dollar store for stuff you can use to make other stuff (like paper, stickers etc..) I'm not so much into figurines or plastic bits that might end up in a landfill
Country style country (country living magazine style okay), Pastels (generally) I prefer muted colors, optical illusion fabric paper etc.., polyester, metallic overload, juvenile/cartoon fabric, neon colors, sour candy

BY THE WAY, we ate the cake today, it was AMAZING! I have never had anything packaged from a supermarket that tasted SO GOOD! ROFL!!!! Sorta tasted like the peanut butter girlscout cookies but like 48273434 times better! WOOHOO!
What is the Art & Soul Retreat? And where is it being held in Hampton. If you're in Coliseum Central, there are tons of restaurants to choose from. I think I included a 2010 tourism book in your packet. There should be a card or something in it that has lots of discounts at restaurants and merchants.

Happy belated birthday! I hope it was a nice one.
You RAWK!!
Thank for you an adorable pink matchbox from Matchbox PIF at the Cheap Postage Group - the bottlecap magnet is especially cute, love it!!
Thank you for the fabric from my wishlist. The Asian fabrics are gorgeous! I have never worked with silk before and am very anxious to make something with it. The bulldozer fleece is perfect for my boys. I can't wait to make them something with that too. Thanks again, Erin
Thank you very much for the stamps (yay! we're gonna be in decoupage heaven in a week or two!) and the sweet collage images from my June Wishlist at the Cheap Postage Group!
Wow! What a nice surprise! I was hoping for a small chuck of bandanna fabric and got ALOT. And I have been to some of the places on the camping fabric. You're great! PS We call my brother Bubba. ;o)
