Hmm, well I've just been flaked on in a swap by the swap's own co-ordinator. Now I remember why I drifted away from swap-bot.
The short of it (Swap Info and Ideas)
I live in Australia, so please don't send any biological products (wood, food, animal products, etc) and these will be quarantined and I won't get them. :(
Favourite colour: Blue, Green, Purple, earthy neutrals (brown, tan, cream, etc). I don't like pink or neon colours.
Favourite themes (for scrapbooking, crafting): Animals, nature, classical/swirly, humourous, historical, neutral
Favourite things: Animals! Especially cats, horses, whales and endangered and extinct species. But really anything animal would be adored. I also love nature scenes, and cute/humerous stuff. I'm not much of a flower/hearts person.
Cross stitch stash: Evenweave preferred, but aida is ok. DMC, not Anchor. I can't stand country themes, samplers or the American style folk charts. I love animal and funny charts - Dragon Dreams, Margaret Sherry and the like are fantastic. All dyed threads or embellishment fibres would be loved.
Do Not Want: Religious items, festive items (Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving, Valentines, etc), political items, war/violent/horror type things, overly girly stuff. Also not earrings. I don't have extra holes in my head.
The Long of It!
I'm a science graduate currently studying native birds at ANU in Canberra. I love science, especially palaeontology, biology and evolutionary history. I have a pet budgie who's a real tyrant! In my spare time I love to cross stitch, blog, play video games (I have a DS, Wii, N64, PS2 and PC), read fantasy novels and pop science nonfiction and generally take it easy. :)
I hate tomatoes, bananas and the colour pink. My favourite foods would be pizza, indian and thai. I like blue, green and purple. I adore all animals, but my favourites would be cats, horses, polar animals, australian natives and obscure endangered species (Okapi, anyone? :P).
My favourite music is, I'm sad to say, pop. I love international artists like Matchbox 20, Live, and Robbie Williams. I generally prefer local Australian stuff though, espeically The Whitlams, The Living End, Missy Higgins, Crowded House (or anything the Finn boys have done), Thirsty Merc and the early years of Silverchair.
When it comes to novels I love fantasy. Robin Hobb is my absolute favourite, followed by Terry Pratchett, Douglas Adams, Robert Jordan and Sara Douglass. I have to confess I also enjoy sci fi show novelisations, and have a pretty big collection of Star Trek and Dr Who books. I also enjoy popular science nonfiction books, especially about dinosaurs, prehistory and extinction events. I can't stand romance, war or modern era books.
The movie I've seen the most would be The Mummy. I also really enjoy all the Pixar CGI films, although my all time favourite animated movie would be Beauty and the Beast. I'm a sucker for crappy comic book movies too. Oh, and most British comedy is gold, from the Python boys to Simon Pegg.
As you have probably guessed, I'm a science fiction girl. Farscape would be the top of my list, but I also watch Star Trek, Stargate, Heroes, Red Dwarf, CSI (in its various incarnations), NCIS, House, Dr Who and Torchwood.
I love to cross stitch, and I try to stitch every day. I'm also a bit of a card maker, but it depends when inspiration strikes. I'm not a scrapbooker or stamper. Maintaining two stashes is enough!

Thanks for the private souvenir swap. The sweet kangaroo thimble is the center of attention :)

I haven't tried the origami bookmark, it's such a unique idea! I'll have to test it out. Thankyou. :)
I'm glad you liked the bookmark I sent you - I based it on your profile. Did you also like the origami bookmark? They fit perfectly on page corners
