I'm married to the greatest guy in the world and we'll celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary in May 2010. Not too bad considering we only knew each other 5 months before we were married. We have three wonderful daughters aged 17 to 23. We finally got a son, via marriage, in May 2009 when he married our oldest daugther and they are expecting their first child in April 2010.
Just found out on Oct. 29 that the baby is a BOY!!!!! I won't be able to get away with teaching him to embroider but I can sure teach him to use a bow and arrow and how to cook on a camp stove. I CAN'T WAIT!!!!! Can you tell I'm slightly excited about this first grandchild????
I'm from"Sweet Home Alabama" and we live in the country and LOVE it. We've been restoring a 120 year old house for quite some time. I love to sew and craft. I also volunteer with a number of organizations. I'm trying to learn to say NO but that's just hard to work into my vocabulary.
I am Roman Catholic so please don't send anything anti-Christian to me.
The type of music I like depends largely on the mood I'm in. I like a little bit of everything, except rap. Just can't stand the stuff.
I like classical, jazz, classic rock, Christian rock, country, funk, bluegrass, show tunes. It all depends.
I like chick lit and romance. I enjoy Nora Roberts and Diana Gabaldon's books. I also like to read cookbooks. Seriously. They can be very entertaining. I like craft books, Catholic devotionals, poetry, cookbooks, vintage books - especially those with really beautiful covers. I enjoy reading cereal boxes. I just love to read.
Gone With The Wind. Ghost. Divine Secrets of the Ya Ya Sisterhood. Swiss Family Robinson. Comedies.
Dont' watch alot of TV but I do enjoy Antiques Roadshow and any of the home improvement shows. I like NCIS, too.
I love to sew, quilt and embroider. My grandmother taught me how when I was 10 and I've been hooked ever since. I also enjoy scrapbooking. I like to try to find a different use for everyday objects. For example, our laundry hamper is an old record cabinet.

My favorite color is red, but I also love blue, green, purple, orange, and yellow. I also like black and white done in pretty prints. I always liked all the crayons in the large box that came with a sharpener.
Wow, that's a long list and I haven't even scratched the surface.
Most of all I like to watch someone's face when I give them a gift but, since, we're swaping across the miles here, I'd love to hear from you if you like what I send. Have a great day!
