I am retired and relocated from Virginia to Tennessee in early 2018.
I enjoy doing paper crafts and sewing. I have gotten into Zendoodling and Copic Markers. I am not great in either, but working hard at it. I feel like I am becoming a hoarder of adult coloring books. I do color often and use the pages for envelopes, etc., just not at the same rate I buy them.
Most of the music I listen to is from the 60, 70, and 80's. Neil Diamond, Elton John and The Beatles among my favorites.
Love to read. Mostly mystery or thrillers, an occasional romance. Some favorite authors: James Patterson, Barbara Parker, Sue Grafton, Stuart Wood, Janet Evanovich, David Baldacci.
Am a TV junkie. TV is on almost all the time whether watching or just for background noise. Some favorite programs: NCIS, Blacklist, Mom, FBI and FBI Most Wanted, Blue Blood and my guilty pleasure is Married at First Sight...... I could go on and on.
In addition to TV I love going to the movies. It is great watching a new movie in the theater with popcorn, surround sound and good friends. Some of my favorite movies include Gone with The Wind, Law Abiding Citizen, The Hangover (the original one only), The Words, Seven, Cape Fear, Imitation Game,Theory of Everything and Bridge of Spies, Just Mercy, The Good Liar
I do paper crafts and sew. I find myself sometimes seeking/shopping/collecting supplies more than using them. I do like unusual scrapbook paper. I also sometimes make fabric postcards, so I like small amounts of fabric that has a cool pattern or designs that can be appliquéd for special event postcards (birthday, holidays or special interest- i.e. books, birds, boats, trees, etc.)
Craft: Washi tape- any colors and patterns. Stickers (one dimensional that will go through postal system without additional handling), no reward, teacher, Kawaii, Disney) Favorite Colors: Reds and purples- but need yellows, pinks and blues for my stash. Postcards- Any are fine. I do not collect any particular kind or style. I just like happy mail!
Nothing religous in theme, no Disney, Hello Kitty or Kawaii please. Nothing with glitter. I prefer my coloring pages not to be folded when possible and not to have words. (weird, I know- I just do not like reading my coloring pages)
I really do not collect anything specific. I like handmade postcards or cards to see what people come up with and the different techniques. I prefer my postcards to be sent naked, but am fine with whatever the swap details say. I like when the artist includes what methods they use if the item is somewhat unique in textures/textiles- mixed media, etc.
Anything anyone takes the time and effort to send to me will be appreciated and used. This should be fun so I don't want anyone to stress over their items or what rating they might get from me.
One note: if my last name is spelled incorrectly I do not save the item sent and it will never get a heart no matter how cool it is.
Food: Milk Chocolate, Caramel, Salty snacks No teas or coffee, please
I send my swaps on time and always wait to mark sent until I return home from the post office. And I always take my swaps to the post office just to reduce the overall numbers of times it is handled and possibly lost.
I also rate the same day I received. While I do travel frequently I try to time my swaps around it so that my partners are not waiting a week for me to return.
On occasion I have not selected the "save ratings" button. If you feel I should have received your item and not rated, please do not hesitate to PM me. I know what it is like to worry whether things are lost in the mail. In return I would hope for the same courtesy. When I PM asking about a swap, it seems only right that the person responds promptly by either rating or PM'ing that they have not received my item.
