About Me

My name is Liv. I live in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, with my two cats. I'm a vegetarian and love to cook, I love everything about it, making up new recipies, writing about it, reading about other peoples cooking (mainly foodblogs). I'm also interested in politics, I'm a feminist and haven't given up the idea of changeing the world.

I have a bachelor's degree in library and iformation science but since it's not very easy to get that kind of jobs I have worked as a carer for diabled people quite a lot.

The only things I've swapped in the past is mixtapes, and I'm really curious to see how this works.

Favorite Television

Six feet under, Dexter, Pushing Daisies, Greys Anatomy, Midsomer murders, House, Angels in America, Sopranos and things like it.

Favorite Music

Morrissey, Sixteen horsepower, Chicks on speed, Anthony and the Johnsons, Belle & Sebastian, The organ, Magnetic Fields and more. I listen to a great deal of swedish music (not folk) and would be glad to share!

Favorite Crafts

Knitting, sewing, origami (though I'm not very good at it), cooking (yeah, it can be a craft), screen-printing, embroidery.

  • Meat - if it's not for my cats (including things with gelatine in it)
  • Heavy scents, I can sometimes react almost like an allergic to strong and heavy scents/perfumes.

Tea

I love tea and like to drink at least a couple of cups everyday. I prefer loose black tea but also drink green and herbal sometimes. I'm not that fond of rooibos. Tea bags is nice when you want a cup of tea fast and easy. I like both fruity tea and more natural flavours. The caramel/chocolate kind is yummy too. As long as it's tea it can't be that wrong!

Candy

I like candy! I don't think that I really have one favourite, but I like chocolate (especially fair-trade), fruity candy and all kinds of liquorice. I love to try candy from all over the world and I'm fortunately not allergic to anything, I don't eat gelatine though, since I'm a vegetarian. Please check before you send things like gummies and marshmallows. Wonka's Nerds (and other Wonka-sweets too) and Lifesavers hard fruit candy are favourites that I can't get where I live.

Comment: Thank you so much for the shopping bags. I love them, and thanks for the explanation of where each one came from. In our state there are lots of pharmacies but they are not government run. Our liquor stores are the only ones allowed to sell hard liquor by the bottle. You can purchase a glass at restaurants, but there are rules for restaurants that sell hard liquor they must have a certain percentage of their sales in food. Again thank you so much for the fantastic bags.
Response: It sounds just the same as the liquorstores in Sweden, but they are the only one who's allowed to sell wine and beer as well, and restaurants who sells liquor have to sell food as well. I'm glad you liked the bags, they were harder to find than I'd expected.
