Lately...

Lately I've not been active in SB or swapping, and haven't posted in the forums. I've currently very active with Soldier's Angels.. I have 2 adopted soldiers, participate as much as possible in TLC and am organizing my own cards for the troops events locally for the upcoming Christmas holiday. If you send me a message I'll get the email notification and log in to read it and reply but past that I'm going to be MIA for a while. It is such an incredible thing to be involved in SA and there is such a great need that it has become my main focus, so I won't be swapping for the time being.

I followed a link off of the profile of @cinderella730 to the Soldier's Angels website.. I have to say I am really impressed with how the whole thing is set up, they really have everything covered and its such a great cause. I have now adopted 2 soldiers.. you should look into it and see what kind of things you could do to help support our troops too!

Tired...

Its a rough time of year.. work is very hectic and more has been pushed onto my plate at the same time. I'm working on my state fair entries and trying to make sure they come off as I've hoped (it all depends on the kiln gods)... and I absolutely cannot wait for the holidays. I need a break!!!

Please Note...

My work hours are 9am-5pm, which happens to be the same hours that the post office is open. So if you are in the USA I can sometimes use the post office's automated mail machine to send out your package, if you are international to me (including Canada) I can only send on Saturdays that I don't work between 9am and noon... which is like the weekend before Christmas every week... it sucks!

I have recently dropped from at least half of the groups I was in.. this is no reflection on the groups or anything like that.. I am just in way too many groups and need to cut down. I am also still down my PC which complicated things further.

Send me a message! I do my best to send all swaps out -well- before the due date to ensure receipt. I certify or do a receipt of confirmation on larger packages or track them via UPS so I can tell you where they are. If something hasn't arrived and it has been a couple weeks since the send date please ask me before rating a 1. If there is a problem or something seriously wrong I will let you know before the due date, please show me the same courtesy. Knowing there is a delay and why is much better than seeing nothing and not knowing why.

Hmm... what to say about me... I love animals, have 3 (2 dogs (Shelby & Skye) and a cat Zoe), I am terrified of snakes and spiders, have an unusual compulsion to collect refrigerator magnets and notebooks (especially hardcover non-spiral bound ones) of various types, and ladybugs creep me out.

Duff Goldman is totally my hero... seriously...

I love butterflies and collect related things like unusual pins, stickers, jewelry etc. I prefer unique butterflies like my profile pic, that is the butterfly tattoo on the back of my neck. I'm not into cutsie ones.

I'm a yard sale & thrift store addict (and I love sales).. I love unusual jewelry, odd glass pieces and those sort of strange things you only find when you aren't looking for them. I volunteer at the best thrift store in the area who supports our community in many ways.. the people there are great and I totally believe in what they do.. and also between shopping & volunteering there I come up with such awesome unusual things sometimes!

I recycle envelopes and packing materials, a lot. If you don't like it... you are going to have to get over it. Its really all about what's on the inside anyways, isn't it?

I like most things and love getting packages, especially handmade items and those from people in other countries and of other cultures. Love learning about others, their foods, lives, entertainment, crafts and anything else you enjoy.

I am currently looking for coloring books in Spanish, easy word finds or crossword puzzles in Spanish or used children's books in Spanish. Also magazines, menus, newspapers and any other written materials in languages other than English. If you have these and would like to trade please let me know! :)

• White chocolate

• Strong potpurri, perfumes or smells (causes headaches)

• Gold (the metal)

• Bar soaps (I only use the kind my mom makes, many others make me itch).

I've realized that I really do have an inordinate amount of crap that is helping hold the floors/shelves down.. and I could stand to make some of it go away.. or replace it with new crap. I love handmade items... :) Don't worry if it isn't something on my likes list specifically, if you made it with love.. I will love it.
