Welcome to the site, I do hope you have many wonderful memories and mail-box surprises!
I see you are trilingual, that's awesome! I love languages but sadly if I don't use it, I lose it -something along those lines anyway.
I took French classes in college for about 3 years, it was amazing. But then a year afterwards and I can't even remember certain basic responses or anything! I've been meaning to fix this. Get back into the swing of it and maybe even get a pen-pal or two to help keep me in practice.
Elephants are regal and amazing. <3 My mom used to be really into collecting their figurines and she just loves them. Elephants and frogs, haha. Now and then a cute pig figurine as well. But we have a very small house, so now we just look at such things from afar. Someday she'll have a study just full of things based from them. :)
Myself, I love foxes and mantatees, I collect their figurines. As well as a few other random animals like the moose, racoon, deer, elk, dragon. But it's really the first two I go crazy for, haha!
I am also a food lover, a collector of postcards, and candy stasher! :D Maybe we could swap our favorite recipes, share some postcards and the like? That would be fun!

Also D.C. My favorite way to travel is by train and I've done a few multi-night cross country trips around America on Amtrak. I wonder when you love of elephants began...
