About Me

I'm a Californian currently living in the French Alps with my husband. I love: to read, listen to the "This American Life" podcast on my ipod, knitting, Hello Kitty, Star Wars, shopping on etsy.com, things with cupcakes on them, pink and turquoise or pink and brown, learning "all things French", traveling, tutoring French kids in English, getting care packages from "home" that include my favs like Burts Bees or Tootsie Pops, etc. I look forward to drinking a cup of coffee or tea in the mornings while lounging on my couch and admiring our view of the Alps. I also enjoy taking a brisk walk along the lake while soaking in the sun. I love food: learning about it, reading about it, looking at it, and eating it, of course. I think I'm going down the path towards vegetarianism, though I do like fish, so maybe I'm a pescatarian or flexitarian...

Comment: Thanks for the pattern, Emily. Since I don't have children, I'm not sure when I'd use it. It follows the guidelines of the swap, but it looks like you didn't look at my profile or read my comment about what type of pattern I would like. I will pass your pattern on to a friend who loves making kids hats.
Response: You could always knit it for a friend! And I did read your comment but, unfortunately, did not have a favorite knitting pattern that met your strict requirements.

Comment: Thanks for the great list--I enjoyed reading it. Even though we live far apart, we eat many of the same foods. I have never tried pigeon though. And yes, YUCK on the tripe!
