I'm a teacher that splits my time between large city and small town country living. I enjoy having the best of both worlds. I've been an avid letter writer with pen pals for more than 40 years. I enjoy exchanging long, conversational style letters with questions and dialogue and becoming real friends. A long letter to me is about 8+ pages handwritten or 4 pages typed. I also enjoy exchanging cards for the holidays and birthdays. In the past, I've swapped postcards and participated in traveling notebook/journal projects. Unwritten map postcards are my favorite type to collect.
I like nature photography and traveling the backroads to small towns to see something new, reading and discussing books, movies, music, animals (dogs, cows/sheep/roosters, foxes, wolves, hawks, owls), pets (2 rescue dogs I adore and spoil) history, science, culture, gardening, mysteries, ghost stories and the unexplained, abandoned places, historical places, natural health, cooking, crafting, traveling, walking in the woods, spending time in deserts and the ocean, storms, relaxation, discussing current events and much more.
